Hi Jasmine, i just saw this vid, even though it's 9 months old. I'm quite impressed for your first sweater. Great choice of yarn. Latte cakes looks great, but more importantly, feels nice against the skin. I agree with you that single crochet was necessary when joining the sleeves to the body, however, (and I hate to be a stickler) the method you used is not a single crochet. It's a slip stitch, with an added yarn over - which would allow for extra stretch than a regular slip stitch. Just so you know, with a single crochet, you put your hook through the stitch(es) first, then yarn over and pull up a loop through the stitch(es). You will have 2 loops on the hook. Then yarn over again and pull that loop through the 2 loops. Ta da By the way, you are beautiful.
