Appreciate the review. I like the 8yr rye but I prefer the 8 yr Bourbon more. On a side note I don’t think it’s Bib. I think it has to do with the grain not being harvested from the same season. Cheers guys

I like single malts in fact I like every spirt made. I consider myself lucky that I don’t have biases against spirts like I see some have. If I see I’ll get it. You should try the ASW duality double malt it’s fantastic.

i might be new here, but I'm just putting it out there, Brewzle doesn't drink whiskey named from ninja turtle characters..... however the boba fett in the corner brings the clout and street cred to the bourbon review table..

I'm fairly new to whiskey and I recently picked up my first Knob Creek. I got the Knob Creek 9 Single Barrel 120 proof and I was pleasantly surprised. My expectations weren't too high because I know people have mixed feelings about Knob Creek but I thought it was pretty good.

I've read that the 15 year is good when the abv is at least 50%. I bought a 40% abv bottle of the 15 year and it was bad.

I could only imagine how much clout. Afford you this type of experience . I have some William Larue, Weller from the 1940s. And honestly, if this dude showed up. I Could actually see myself cracking it open . Utnim holding out for few more decades . Unless the right person offers the right price

I’d pay 70 for a 750 but a 375 is a pass. They have the Double oak already I wouldn’t think they would continue with this but who knows.

This is one I’d like to try now. These special releases are very hit and miss for me. But when it’s a hit, I usually love them.

Oxidation isn't the right term. If the seal was broken and the fill level was low that would be the right thing to say, where you assume some of the whiskey evaporated away oxygen got in and changed the flavor profile over time. The fill level of that bottle is exceptional and it was just opened literally infront of everyone. More likely it could have been improperly stored in terms of temperature before it was given to your Grandfather. What an exceptionally special thing to share and save. Your Grandfather is definitely smiling as everyone enjoys an exceptional pour. Cheers to you and your Grandad 🥃🥃

Really like these type of long pick or distillery tour videos, especially because you get more of a sense of the personalities involved and how well they bond with the product and host. This really helps in determining how worthy the product is. This is even more true when you have good trustworthy people like Brewzle or Josh and those from Spillway vouching and participating. I especially appreciate how they state that their opinion is subjective and also try to guess the next most popular opinion of whiskey. You really can't get more honest than that.
