I lived in an apartment building called Luqman in Crater. it was opposite the police barracks. The police pipe band was excellent. The locals would site on a wall to watch the new recruits being taught to drill. When the recruits got it wrong the locals would laugh their heads off.

My dad was a civilian in the Air Ministry attached to the RAF from 63-65. We initially lived in Crater then 10 Tavistock House on the Maala Straight. Went to school at Steamer Point in a army convoy with chicken wire anti grenade screens on the windows 6 days a week in clouding Saturday but had every afternoon off. This invariably meant the Italian club at Gold mosur beach near elephant rock and dinner on the way home at the SESSOC club. Flew out in 63 on a British Eagle Britannia from Stansted and came back in 65 on the SS Orcades. Good memories

hi all i was in aden 1962 to 1965,my father was a raf officer based in khomaksar,we lived on the malaa strait in a block of flat called naagi building..my sister and i were at boarding school i the uk but flew out foe all the school holidays,loved my time there as a you8ng kid,.would spend the days at tarshyne beach and go back to school wuth a golden tan.dis anyone on here know a beatiful lady by the name of MARILYN WATSON,she was a good friend of mine out there.
