Thank you, very grateful. Looking forward to watching the four I haven't seen (or heard of!). Bit disappointed to see in comments that Night Manager is thought to be the best of these. I found the way it pivoted on usurping the dedicated uber-loyal right hand man to be very unconvincing, and undermined the whole drama.

The nighy agent is just a stupid show, bad plot and bad acting Bodyguard was fantastic!

Are there any spy shows like this, but with a sci-fi twist, particular with time travel? I like Counterpart, but it was cancelled.

The difference between Slow Horses is that we Brits stay closer to reality (along of course with our legendary dry wit (read: Shakespeare's talent for combining tragedy with the comedy). U.S. writers, on the other hand, mostly employ exaggeration, characterised by their often comical, cartoonish characters. As we see here in the first example: The Recruit 🤔

Only Slow Horses comes close to capturing the magic that is Smiley.

I would highly recommend the original (which aired as a tv miniseries) Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy & it's sequel Smiley's People - it's beyond brilliant.

Spooks on Prime isn't too bad - after season 1 - and if you don't mind the kind of show where the team saves the world each episode...

Excellent list. Agree with The Night Manager at the top. I am trying to find The Little Drummer Girl which I understand was an excellent series based on the Le Carre novel.

I've posted this in the comment sections of other videos as well, and I'm really looking forward to reading the replies. A couple of thoughts: *Poisonous air*: When she pried open the door, you hear a hiss, implying that the silo was sealed and the air inside was safe to breathe. However, once the seal is broken, toxic air should gradually begin to seep in, potentially causing issues for Juliette later on, yet this is not addressed. *People in Silo 17*: Assuming that half of the 10,000 inhabitants were killed during the revolt (which is a very generous assumption), that leaves 5,000 people attempting to evacuate. If we assume that 1% of a large crowd needs to use a toilet at any given time, that accounts for 50 people who didn’t make it outside. These 50 people would have stayed behind, likely realizing that those exiting were dying, thus locking the doors. Even with this admittedly very constructed assumption, there must be more people inside Silo 17 than just her and the man behind the vault door. *Exit numbers*: According to the guidelines on egress for sporting events (source: sgsa.org.uk/physical-factors/circulation/egress/), 66 people can exit per meter of width per minute on a stepped surface. Assuming the silo's exit is 5 meters wide (which again is a very generous assumption), this means about 330 people could exit per minute. Therefore, it would take approximately 15 minutes for 5,000 people to exit. Given the rapid death rate of people wearing suits in Silo 18, it doesn’t make any sense that so many people from Silo 17 managed to survive without suits, make it all the way outside, or die on the stairs, without causing widespread panic or people flowing back inside the silo. And there are even more inconsistencies, as others pointed out, such as the power supply remaining intact despite the flooded generator, and the water level being so high. I hope these issues are addressed in future episodes. Until now, I’ve found the show to be very coherent.

I agree..The episode was too short for how long we've waited, only 40 mins, mostly wasted by showing Juliet's backstory which we already knew about from Season 1. Some of the things she did was unbelievable, like jamming that crowbar in her helmet would've injured her eyes or face with all the glass. Taking off the suit was stupid. They didnt show us that the air was toxic & full of radiation. They didnt tell the viewer about Silo 1 being HQ, Project World Operation Order 50, the gassing of the silos after they rebel, who started the silos, etc. Having the dude say ima kill you at the end from behind the door missed the mark completely. We deserved better. Easily the most lackluster filler episodes of the series. I hope they didnt fuck up season 2.

There's an amazing fan vid set to "Cities in Dust" - vid is by Fivepercent. The end credits are made to look like it would on the computers they use in the silo.

if that is Atlanta, the ground is far to flat. the silos are randomly placed which is odd for engineering. we didnt see any decontamination gas spewing out in the season 2 trailer when they went barreling outside. like they didnt even peak out or put up a wet finger in the air. maybe carbon monoxide is the only thing I can think of, maybe the silos themselves are producing it.

Bernard: we do not know who built the silo('s) as in plural? so obviously they already knew their was more than one already?

It would be marvellous if you could do an episode-by-episode review of the sci-fi TV show 'Missions'. It's really good sci-fi produced on a comparatively tiny budget about the first manned expedition to Mars. However, I can perfectly understand why you may not wish to cover it since the show is in French, Russian, and English language. Also, the American characters are not necessarily the "good guys".

Looks like an interesting TV show. If it ever becomes available for me to watch I think I will enjoy it.
