Don’t get your hopes up with this! This photo is standard polystyrene that’s been soaking in 100% pure acetone for almost two weeks. The styrofoam obviously broke down but did not dissolve and homogenize into the acetone. It just sits there, exactly like a piece of chewing gum except that it’s not the least bit sticky.

So how do u save the glue/adhesive? Or is it a 1 time mix & use. I really hate throwing styrofoam away bc it doesn’t breakdown & bad for environment.

Keep is sealed and If it hardens maybe add more acetone? Or even leave it wet with acetone in a container that can seal and surely it'll at least last a few days lol
Acetone must be stored in an LDPE container. Anything else will melt. If you put it in a glass jar and seal it up, it could burst from the pressure after a couple of days. I have seen this. LDPE, low density polyethylene, like the container nail polish remover is in, or a sealable metal can like they sell acetone in..
