We have always found this peanut shell like funk or dustyness to most Beam products. Almost like the shells that you would find on the floor at a Texas Roadhouse when that was still allowed. Hope this helps a bit. Cheers!

If I simped for every distillery that I loved, I would be recording these videos from a cardboard box on the side of the road, lol. There are so many good bottles out there (both allocated and not). Old Forester has my heart, but Wild Turkey has my soul right now. Cheers!

There's nothing wrong with that! Eagle Rare is a wonderful bottle that carries an age statement not too often seen. Great flavor and a perfect bottle for someone just getting into well aged bourbons.

We hear you and totally agree with your idea of the barrel proof toasted bottles! Those might just take this line to the next level!

It's an alright pour. Definitely gives more than the traditional EC rye, just didn't blow us away. Nice to have one, but never really need two. Cheers!

300 is a lot for stagg...especially since secondary is creeping sub 200. OWA is a solid one to pay up for, I (Dan) would personally drop 100 for one if I didn't have any on the shelf. Cheers, friend!

We will for sure drink this one again on camera this year! We were blown away with how developed and complex the flavors were. Deep depth of flavor combined with an amazing nose and a finish that goes on for days! Cheers, friend!

I wish we could honestly say that we have the clout to influence people like that, but we just don't. But in all honesty, this is a solid release, but there are some better rye whiskies out there. If you can find a pour at a bar or friends house, go that route first. Cheers!

Interesting, our bottle is super flavor forward with banana, brown sugar, vanilla, and a light oak presence. Perhaps ours has just gotten more air and developed in the bottle a bit. Sorry you had a bad experience with it. This one is a go to for us.

I don't think anything will touch this outside of BTAC or perhaps a Four Roses LE.

This one is very plesent, but for the price you may want to try before you buy.

@thewhiskeywatchers ill keep working at it and maybe load it down woth some barrel proofs and next time not mix wheaters in there. Mine is drinkable just not great. The individual parts are much better than the sum

For what it is, you can't really beat it around where we are. The single barrel is delicious for sure, one of my favorites.

@thewhiskeywatchers I am in a small town in indiana about a little over am hour from louisville and I am still look for russells 15. Russells 13 and a single rickhouse

The single rickhouse is all I need to complete the Russell’s lineup The 13 is my favorite, the 15 is just barely behind (like on a scale of 1-10 it’s .03 behind lol). I overpaid for the 13 (200) and would do it again. Got super lucky with the 15 at msrp

@garnetreecejones9222 I would love any of the russells I live in a small town indiana. Luckily I can get buffalo trace products pretty easy for decent prices. However we do not get anything other than buffalo trace so I have to trade my buffalo trace products for other stuff or drive an hour and a half to go to the distillery and hope I get lucky! I have had some luck at Michters

@@brettmchan2855 I get it. I’m in Virginia. The way they do drops was ok. They changed it and now it’s awful. I live close to the wv and Maryland lines and go there to hunt. Got the Russell in dc not long ago. There is hit or miss. Gotta negotiate cause EVERYTHING is marked to secondary or more. Some shops understand and will negotiate some won’t

We were just giving numbers based on current secondary value.
