The show was actually shot on 20th century’s backlot since it was made by 20th century television Warner brothers and dc comics pretty much had nothing to do with the show outside of having to get permission to use Alfred in the series cause the comics had killed him off and they really wanted him in the series and dc agreed Warner didn’t own dc comics until 1969 a year after the series ended

Usually these Annual's have more of a comic feel here, it's a shame this one doesnt.

Despite me having visited the Tate Modern many times since this film was released, it's never occurred to me to look for the door giving access to the inside of the chimney. It is a bit of a disappointment to discover that it doesn't exist!

Regarding Adam West not doing his own stunts: The studio refuses to allow stars to do stunts as any accident could delay production, and there for create a loss of money and delaying producing further episodes. The story goes that stuntmen were used, and the cost of such was so high the producers decided to reuse to clip over and over again to save production cost.
