too bad there is no engine noise in this video; the big k sounds wonderful between 5 and 9 grand; fantastic intake howl with a k&n; at 130 crank horsepower the stock bike is a kitten! BMW built a 1.5 ltr inline four in the late 60's that make 1500 hp!
I actually wanted to buy the BMW 1200 and watching this drive the BMW it's clear to see he is scared as hell what a terrible video this driver clearly was the wrong person to put on a 1200 review
Hi, actually I was following my friend on a 25 year old gsxr750. Trust me when I say I have embarrassed numerous people on track days with that bike. But thanks for the assumptions and patronising comments.
@@philiprusted look I have been riding my whole life and when I saw corners coming then I saw you slow down way before the turn started. Not to mention you never used the rumble strips not once I knew that you have not raised or used a racetrack
@@mr.davidwoodard7809 Did you miss the bit in my comment that said I was following a friend on a 25 year old GSXR - hence the pace? Also sound quality poor due to cameera microphone - camera was rubbish, so not used any more. I rather liked that old bike, was nice to ride. Changed to VFR800 - you can see my videos from those track days if you dont think i can track ride... Now have R1200Rt and looking forward to taking that on track.
@@philiprusted don't listen, I felt ur ride, corners were tight and even and Nürburgring isn't build for bikes, grip is shit, lot of assholes etc. And even when everything he said would be true, u did right because u rode within ur limits. And that is the most important ability a driver can have/learn.
@@philiprusted I thought you did okay, positioning was okay, but I did keep thinking it was a fairly slow ride around. Nice video, don't take any notice of those power ranger types who think they are gods gift to biking.
So I'm going with the sound effects was because y'all were just ahead of the speed of sound....:).....not able to explain all those four-wheelers tho....musta been on a tractor beam ride of some kind...gotta appreciate the ride too.....pesky four-wheelers....
Hi Nice vid I road the track same year on my (1990) BMW K1 it's not about always being the fastest but actually being able to go round such an iconic race track and not crashing in my opinion, just enjoy the moment don't listen to all these wantabe GP races.
Hi there, I have no idea as it was just a test ride. To be honest I didnt think it was as good as the standard handlebar for the F800S. Made it feel too much like a GS.
Sorry Steinert, I don't understand your comment? If it is about us being confused then you are right. We were having a lovely steady ride just enjoying it. With no idea where we were going or even how to edit the clip!!
Peter Möller Ha ha! I have learnt enough about the ring to respect it and not to try to be too fast without instructor. Plus my friend was riding a 30 year old gsxr that sounded like a F1 car, but not as fast.
Too bad there wasn't a felt sticker over the mic hole so we don't have to hear that whistling, (and nothing else) for the entire ride.
How is the bike on track and hard driving mate ?

Next time don't eat your lunch while riding, you'll be able to go a little faster...it's a race track right?
Au man, was eine Spazierfahrt... Wozu so viel PS und eine Rennstrecke ? Habe abgeschaltet, sowas langweiliges....
Tried to watch. Learn how to set your audio up next time.
seems bike and the skills have gone up a notch since nürburgring, well done.
very nice circuit, I bet the ride there was also quite nice (and comfortable)
Imagine hitting the Nurburgring on a 140hp super bike and cruising round at 120kph
thank you.
Audio soo bad!
I watch this while running on a treadmill. Thank you, fun ride!

You say Nurburgring, people assume fast, and fair assumption. This video was anything but.
wow... would love to develop my riding to anything approaching that level.
Just bought a K1300R in Australia. Fantastic bike.
They really are awesome bikes. Soooooo much power....
8:30 - miss 4th gear at 130mph. That worried me!
Чем с таким звуков выкладывать, лучше бы его убрал и музыку наложил. Смотреть не возможно!
it wouldnt be for me.
Nice 😎
try coving the microphone with some gaffer tape or similar

What was this day, "carehome day release, track attacks"?
That super hawk 996 is the sexiest of all
danger on track,to slow
Danger to the written word, too wrong....
Awesome video 💯🇬🇧
?
interesting video, but wind sounds terrible loud! :/
Idiots. Finish your advance rider course before playing
Great video
Just bought a K1200RS so shall have to take the giant round that one day before I croak.

Just the one on the camera.

Very informative. Loved the commentary.
Hi where you got the extension for the windshield???
Gilberto Lujano it's an MRA universal touring screen. Not sure it really made much difference though.

Great video thanks, had me goin for the brakes a couple of times, hahahaha

Awesome! How much did it cost if you don't mind me asking?
They are now used very cheap, but also good. About 3500.- EUR.
Do you have any info how the handlebar is replaced? what's the kit used for the conversion?

Phil Rusted he is asking if you mistook Nürnberg ring for a country road. Indicating you could drive faster.

Phil Rusted no point in risking anything. repairs are terribly expensive..
Nürburgring mit Landstrasse verwechselt?
