Starfleet Time Academy: The river of time
n this episode, which has Spock and Kirk chasing McCoy (played by Deforest Kelley) from the future (circa 2200 or so) back to early 1900s United States. It has some clever references to the nature of time and it's 'current/river' like nature
On another note... I've noticed that name reuse for individuals seems to imply consciousness recycling or some form of experiential sharing for some individuals. For instance, my name is Brian Scott Gregory, my cousin died earlier in my life and his name is Scott Snyder (no middle name)... Same thing for my brothers, they take on names of family.
This is not an uncommon thing in America..
Now what I'm finding peculiar are allusions made between realities of the reuse of names. For instance, a last name in one reality might be a first name in another reality. Might make for a good way at tracing down 'energy' sharing partners?
Why does this matter? A comment Spock makes about the 'vacuum tube culture' had me look up the vacuum tube, I was curious when it was invented because the referenced time period was 1930s. Well interestingly enough, it was invented in 1907.. By Lee DEFOREST.... Is this one of those cases where Deforest Kelly in the Star Trek timeline goes back and tries to jump start technology to get back to the future?
Where does fiction meet fact?

I love this clip from Stargate Atlantis, in it - it details how a 'fictional world' is actually someone else's reality, and a game isn't just a game and is in fact a real live civilization in someone else's reality. Quantum Physics, Being demonstrated in an applied nature! I particularly enjoy the part they show the game, which is grid like, and then they show the satellite configuration, a 10x...

Scene from Sarah Connor Chronicles, where Catherine Weaver, a ''liquid metal' based terminator sees almost robotic 'predictability' in movement of humans, but she errors in her logic when she talks about the lack of predictability at the individual level. When time and observer influence is considered as part of the equation, you see 'cycles' clearer and understand time's influence causes the a...

With exploration and learning being the only truly sustainable reasons for living, the complications of the question 'what is life' is especially vague in space, time and alternate reality travel. In this episode Captain Janeway confuses herself, not fully understanding the Borg's origin, by explaining to someone she assumes is strictly human that a machine does not make choice and is ALWAYS pr...

A brilliant explanation of choice, and the lengths to which the mind goes to in linear choice. Now imagine how complicated choice becomes when time becomes malleable, and how dramatically the rewiring of the brain must undergo to accept paradoxes do not exist at all!

      People have...or at least a very similar one. That's the whole argument behind our life being a simulation. Just in this case, it had the physical component of being able to go and actually interact with the planet.

      In "Animorphs", an alien race creates a game like where two players try to give their simulated alien species advantage, but its just a computer game. However, another alien race receives broadcasts of this game and believe that they are actually interfering with other species for fun, and come and wipe them out.

    The probably Best SGA-Episode 'The Game' was still great, but it also showed how incompetent the Expedition is. McKay, the oh so smart McKay, had a total Blackout seemingly, and needed very long to realize what was going on, even though it's so obvious it's laughable. He just didnt thought for a single second about it, it seems. But the point that really bugged me was Elizabeths Irrational Decision to stop the Experiment forever and close them Room forever. Trust me, i know about Consequences of too much Power and all that, BUT it was just Plain Idiotic of Weir to not give a Last Message/Order to all the People, like „The Oracle needs to leave, you should evolve without me, try your best to improve, don’t do needless War, and always Wash your hands! Bye!“ We have heard they stopped in their Evolution because of the Oracle, they stopped with everything: It’s inhuman to shut down the Project without any form of Last Message/Order! Also, she could at least gave a simple Message to the Races who Starved - this would not cause any of the Problems that people having theoretical discusions about this Subject fear so much! It would just have been good. And because that’s possible, the Project shouldnt really have to be shut down anyway.

      Yeah, that sounds about right. But there wouldn't have been this "morality-about-power-bla-bla-lesson aspect" had she (Weir) done as you suggest. Besides, there are plenty more serious "logic issues" within this series universe, so this one can be considered insignificant. And yeah, the expedition has proved to be very incompetent many times. About pretty much every episode is Sheppard & Company trying to clean up their own mess.

      Are you fuckin serious you just wrote a "book" of bollox about something that doesn't need a detailed analysis of an idea . My God if anything you should comment is, it's the fact that this strengths the simulation theory and quite possibly was the whole idea of that episode why are you talking about morals when ITS JUST A TV SHOW,, MY GOD THE WORLD IS GONE MAD . I'm speechless at this point I never realized how many weirdos take these programs so seriously like it's real life.THE ANNOYING PART IS I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT YOU DON'T IMPLEMENT THOSE MORALS IN REAL LIFE YOU ARE STUCK IN A BLEEDING BUBBLE OF NARCISSISTIC BOLLOX YOUR AN IMBECILE

    • @neilmoore2726
      @neilmoore2726 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not only that but I watched the episode years ago and they went to the planet and educated the people about the cost of war and actually showed them how to live in harmony with each other. It's very obvious that you watched a 5 minute clip and thought you knew you could have wrote a better script I mean you can definitely type that's for sure but you have a God complex fgs . Wake up you are not a fuckin Stargate CRITIC ALTHOUGH WITH IDIOTS LIKE YOU IN THE WORLD THERE PROBABLY IS A STARGATE CRITICAL THINKING PROGRAM 🤣🤣🤣
