Well this didn’t help me at all.
I haven’t found any method that helps
Hi. Wouldn’t this be “menos de lo que quieres” if you are following que with a verb? ❤
You could also say 'Tú siempre haces menos de lo que quieres hacer' and that probably works better! Muy bien 🙌🏾
No suelen ser tan groseros O no suelan ser tan groseros?
No suelen ser tan groseros! The verb is 'Soler' Por qué preguntas?
Gracias!
De nada! Me alegro de que te guste 😊 Desde cuándo escuchas el podcast?
So… how do you roll your R’s? I can’t make a rolling R sound come out of my mouth
I would say try to imitate native Spanish speakers that you see e.g. in films/TV shows - that might help!
It’s actually God willing. Ojala Que Llueva Cafe
You can translate it like that (from inshAllah in Arabic) but God willing isn't a phrase that's used in everyday conversation, at least not in the UK. So even though there might be a "most accurate" translation of something, it's often better to learn the translation for what you'd actually say in English. Which is why I gave those examples!
@@letstalkspanish1 I’m Dominican. I speak fluent Castellan. That’s the proper translation of the word
Great video! Thank you
Very happy you liked it! 😊 How is your Spanish learning going, Stewart?

Hahaha I don't think so but gracias 🙌🏾
Lo siento PERO its not working for me
Sorry to hear that!
Why is it not . Vamos a escuchar “la” música esta noche
It's because in that sentence, I'm speaking about music in general So it would always just be "escuchar música" Another way you could translate it would be "listen to some music" If you were talking about the music of a specific musician, then you would use "la" E.g. Vamos a escuchar la música de Bad Bunny esta noche
Desde hace ( pronounced hathe in Spain) was one of the first constructions I learned both here in Spain and in England. I would never have used the perfect. Maybe teaching methods vary between Europe and the US. ??
Hola! I'm from London and have heard quite a few people try to form the sentence in this way I think it's just because some people when they come to it try to translate the sentence word for word into Spanish, especially when they come across it in the middle of a conversation - meaning they might actually have been taught the phrase before, but forget it under pressure!
13 years living here. 1st time I found out about this verb. I learned basic stuff from lessons but am too lazy to pick up my books. My best one. An old one with grammar explanations in English, ive just lent to a friend. I learned my Spanish at intercambio sessions. So speaking and listening fair. Vocab good. Grammar appalling. Cheers. Must now look it up.
Hola Helena, dónde vives exactamente? Definitely a useful verb to know and be able to use! Can allow you to form lots of sentences without having to remember how to form lots of different Spanish verbs (which is why it's especially useful for beginners)
Legend. Great channel, sir.
Thanks so much! Appreciate that a lot 🙌🏾 how did you find my channel?
Usted is free. Once you learn el and ella you've learned usted. And usted is used quite a bit in Latin American Spanish.
It's definitely used quite a bit, both in Spain and Latin America. It just depends what your goal is really. Unless you're trying to learn Spanish to a really high level, it probably doesn't make sense to confuse yourself trying to use it And yeah you'll already know how to form the verb by knowing él and ella, but there's still a lot of work required in the moment to overwrite the association in your mind between you in English and tú in español
A better question is are you wasting your time learning vosotros? No one in the western hemisphere uses vosotros.
I agree with that too! I don't use vosotros anymore in my life since going to Colombia, because I just use Ustedes 🙌🏾
Great video! I'm a teacher and just started my youtube channel and I agree that these 3 verbs are key. It would be fantastic to learn how to put them into practice more. That's my goal for my next videos. Saludos!!
Hola Celso! Thanks a lot, I appreciate that. Yep, they're very important Spanish verbs to know! Looks like your channel is doing well - well done!
You're the first person I've seen explain this verb inside or outside of the classroom. Well done. Cheers, mate.
That's great to know that I'm covering stuff that's not been covered by other people, but also not great that there's not more content on it out there as it's such a useful Spanish verb! You're welcome - and thanks!
Can't do it
Sorry to hear it didn't work for you!
