Assembling a fused glass plate with glass stringers
In this video I show the time-lapsed assembling of the plate in which I use glass stringers. In this plate I used leftovers of previous projects, but you can make it from scratch using instructions provided in this book: www.gamesofcolors.com/store/p734/E-book_%22Weekend_projects%3A_Stringers_in_glass_fusing._Part_III.html

Coral plate from scratch. A glass fusing project for beginners.
มุมมอง 6652 หลายเดือนก่อน
This video demonstrates the full process of making coral plates - one of the projects popular among novice glass fusers. This is a real custom order, and the selected colors and the pattern match the interior of the room where this plate is located now. The planning stage and some details are missing in the video for the simplicity. Instructions for a similar project (but more spectacular!) Are...

It begins with making a pattern bar and slicing it, continues with assembling and fusing, shows cold working steps and slumping. Video is accompanied by brief notes to explain details. The full instructions are published in this e-book by Fyodor Zubanov here: www.gamesofcolors.com/store/c17/eb...
Fused glass candle holders - all the steps.
มุมมอง 1.7K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I presented the process of making two fused glass candle holders. The key technique is glass draping. The shape of candle holders is handkerchief. The surface is decorated with tiny colorful hearts. These hearts and pink-red colors make the candle holders a great Valentine gift. I added some clarifying comments, but detailed instructions are included in my upcoming e-book "Addicti...

In this video we presented some of our original glass works created in 2023. You will see new techniques of glass fusing developed by Fyodor Zubanov: woven ribbons and circular ribbons. Also, we presented a series of works in which we tried to implement fabric patterns in glass. These are glass plates imitating Ikat and Tartan. Of course, we were serving our customers, whose requests were chall...
Glass Frit: to make or to buy

Outstanding!
THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what is the form made of?
It's a fiber board. You may use any fiber board which withstand 1700F
What cutting system are you using?
I made it myself
can you tell us the name of that sliding cutter attachment, and the cutting system itself if it isnt a morton system? id absolutely love to get a cutter like that.
I made it myself
so in glassblowing, we have whats called an optic mold. its an ice cream cone shaped mold with various fin patterns facing inward. you blow a bubble into it, and the bubble takes the pattern, and thats how glass is fluted. if you do that, then reheat and twist the bubble until its all smooth, you get a twisted color pattern. if you started with this chevron pattern fusing as a rollup, and then twisted the color pattern in the above manner, i bet it would be amazing. i might have to get one of these, gives me tons of ideas.
man i would GLADLY pay a stained glass artist to install that over a doorway or something. absolutely gorgeous.
if you do get large chunks of scrap like that off pot melts or similar again definitely let me know. these can be attached to a solid pipe and melted fully then made into rods or smoothed out into crudely formed sheets for further kiln use.
also i think with cutting it in half you might have missed an opportunity to show off both sides of the melt. it might have been cool to flip one half over and show the alternate and then fire that back together as one homogenous piece. super cool either way though. really impressive success from defeat no matter what, and cutting it in half at all was pretty gutsy.
with the scraps from cutting the ellipse do a melt into a brick shape and ill pull it into longer thinner rods and you can have some sweet unique reddish murrine. great save. ive been inspired to find a bunch of very similar stainless baking trays. i have a ton of pattern ideas from this. thanks for sharing, liked and subbed for sure! again, many compliments. great save indeed.

I love that tile saw! And the vase
Thanks for the videos! Could I ask what brand is your 24" lap grinder? That thing looks awesome!!! Looks like you have a nice little workshop there. We're just gearing up. Hopefully be running by the end of the summer
This is Covington lap grinder
@@gamesofcolors Thank you!
Excelente! Lamentablemente en Argentina es muy costoso conseguir material pero es maravilloso aprender. Saludos. Y esperamos que Milei nos saque de la retrograda Peronia
great video! what is the glass cutter that you are using?
I made it myself
I made some frit using my kiln and 4 really pretty blue sapphire gin bottles I found. Followed up with a hammer. My kiln was set 1250 and the hardest part was getting the bottles out using barbecue tongs. Thanks for the video ❤
QUE ES EL POLVO NEGRO?
This is black glass powder (frit)
Very nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hi, can I know the fire schedule for dropping the glass?
The answer is not easy because there are many dependencies. You may use any slumping schedule but set the soak time at the top temperature to several hours. You cannot leave it unattended, and must babysit as soon as it gets the top temperature. I explained all details in this book: www.gamesofcolors.com/store/p839/E-book_%22Addiction_to_glass_fusing%22.html
Are you able to tell me what cutting system you are using. I’ve never seen one on any videos or for sale on glass websites. I have the both the Morton System and Beetle Bits. Thank you.
All the cutting systems I use are made by myself.
@@gamesofcolors That’s amazing! You should get a patent on that and have them mass produced.
Hi there. Beautiful piece. Your link goes to the book “Addiction to Glass Fusing”. Is this where you have more details of this project or am I missing another book? Thank you.
Yes, it is! This is the right book
That was very interesting. I only wish that you would speak, and explain exactly what you are doing.
Thank you, Mark. As I specified at the end of the video, all details are in the book.
Lots of planning for that project. Thanks for showing the possibilities. Wonderful video. Thanks for posting it.
My curiosity has been quenched! Thank you for all that hard work!
This is cool! Any reason you used frit and not stripf of glass between the pattern bar pieces?
Yes, there are several reasons. These lines are not straight, so you need to cut multiple chunks and insert them without gaps.
What is the cutting system you are using. Looks great. Beautiful piece also.
I made the cutting system myself.
Q demais ! Ficou incrível ! 🩷🌷

Hi….I would like to buy some of ur books for beginners…..can you help me pls
Hi, yes certainly. You can buy them here www.gamesofcolors.com/store/c17/ebooks.html. Our store accepts all major credit cards and PayPal. Not all the books are good for beginners. I would start with three of them: Addiction to glass fusing (www.gamesofcolors.com/store/p839/E-book_%22Addiction_to_glass_fusing%22.html), Mondrian pattern in glass (www.gamesofcolors.com/store/p216/Mondrian_Style_in_Glass_-_eBook.html) Textured stripes (www.gamesofcolors.com/store/p646/E-book_%22Weekend_projects%3A_Textured_Stripes%22.html) Other books require initial or advanced glass cutting skills.
Is the top layer all opals?
Yes, they are
Beautiful! ❤💛💚💙 this maybe a stupid question but I’m new to fusing! - with the base layer, should the more textured side be face up or down?! I’m using Oceanside icicle clear base. Thanks so much for your videos!
It's an absolutely valid question. I prefer the base textured side down.
@@gamesofcolors thanks so much!
Holy cow, those are beautiful!!! Wish I could make something like that or even own something like that. Love, love LOVE them!!! 💕
Everything is possible. You can buy this plate here: gamesofcolors.etsy.com/listing/595578781. And if you want to learn how to make a plate like this, this e-book is all the beginners must have www.gamesofcolors.com/store/p839/E-book_%22Addiction_to_glass_fusing%22.html.
@gamesofcolors Thank you so much for the response & info. I'm elderly & disabled with extremely little income now. These things are just pipe dreams for me now. There's no way I could EVER afford the beautiful items you create, but I can at least enjoy just looking at them here on my phone. I also could NEVER be able to afford all of the needed equipment & assessories to make the things that you do. You are very kind to have responded to me anyway & I very much appreciate that in itself. I hope you have a very blessed day. 💕
Awesome!!!!❤
Apaixonante ! Q demais ! 💚🌻
I have been doing lampwork for 20 years. I'm getting into the fusing slumping world. Just curious...what grit size do you use in your flat lap? Should I get several grit sizes? If so what sizes?
You need at least 2 disks. One sintered diamond 100-120 grit, and another one - resin diamond 270 grit. This is the minimum. Normally you need more. One coarse disk - 50-80 grit, several resin disks (600-800 grit) and one felt disk for polishing.
So beautiful 😍 looking at the whole video and enjoying every which angle of this piece. 😃
Beautiful! Loved watching the process!
When will the ebook be available? Would love to get it!!!
The work is in progress. This book is 70% completed.
Beautiful!!!
I just got my first SS triangle former! I love the way the clear frit looks between the pattern bars! Thank you for sharing your process! 😎💜🔥
You can use normal nons stainless angle iron welded to a flat plate so it creates a triangle shape and just weld flat pieces to the end. 1700 is well below it's melting temp just be care to cover fully with fiber.
Just beautiful! I am so glad you are able to make these videos, they truly do inspire. Thank you so much for sharing!
