Some facts about this fire: It was arson. Chronic thief, 27 year-old Dyllin Jaycruz Gogue, intentionally lit a fire as he attempted to leave the store with a cart full of stolen tools. He fled in a vehicle and was later apprehended. Home Depot was fined $1.3 million for fire code violations. According to the DA's Office, the store's automatic sprinkler system was disabled during the five-alarm fire. Home Depot was notified it wasn't working a month prior. The violations also state high piles of pallets blocked responding firefighters from gaining easy access. The investigation showed it wasn't just this location - 13 other Home Depot stores across Santa Clara County had been issued fire code violations. Inventory losses alone exceeded $17 million.

Most reports have this as a 9 alarm fire, but I've heard from people on the scene it went to 10. I'll update in the future as more info comes out.

I can't tell with certainty if she says she is Operator V or Operator Z. She sounds very much like a dispatcher who worked an 8 alarm on Summer Street a decade ago and seems quite capable and confident.

I assume the tape records ALL the fire channels simultaneously and that’s why we’re hearing other radio traffic. I hope those operating at the house fire don’t have to be constantly interrupted by the other radio traffic on the other calls.

One thing to note while listening is that at the time of this fire the entire of the second battalion was out of service for training and there was a box alarm in the district filled by companies that otherwise would not be in the area. Thus the hectic rundown of truck in the beginning.

One of the most racist fire departments in Massachusetts. Worse than South Boston.

The fire Department was paid to let those houses burn down. Then they blamed the public claiming they were obstructing fire engines. Any other day they have no problem calling the police and bashing people.
