I’ve been coming back to this lecture periodically, and every time I do and progress through life in the meanwhile I relate or rather understand more and more of what John is saying. It’s like reading a book about relationships before you had one and coming back to it after a devastating heartbreak and connecting on a deeper level, so happy John shared his knowledge with us all with no ego and just purely the will to share, incredible.

I discovered this solo two weeks ago. I'm a competent player, 30 years playing. This is can only be described as a masterpiece of music. Its insane how good this solo is. Full of emotion, full of intrigue. Amazing.

LOL I remember this era of JM - great enough to be invited to the world class stage BB King and other legends on Crossroads, but the press/other people still plugging him as the Daughters/puppy eyed younger version of Dave Matthews. You can sense the intensity and "we gotta show the world what we can do" attitude from JM. Good to see him feeling more comfortable with himself since he's basically proven that he's a living guitar legend, especially with Dead and Co since 2015.
