I remember going to the or album release for this album. I went with my ex who left me and I couldn't let go. I was a portion of who I was before the breakup and refused to be me, because that meant letting her go. I refused until I heard this hook and " I'll die". That might when I she dropped me off, begged her to not leave, because if she did, I had to let go. I had to hurt and process grief and eventually get to the acceptance part of the process. It would never be another "we". Of course she didn't stay. And I eventually got through and I never looked at hurt the same after that night. I welcome it when it reveals the truth and sometimes it's the only way I know to convince myself to leave relationships that aren't good for me.
