I am an avid explorer and traveler. My wife and I go out with our two dogs like to explore backroads and off-the-beaten paths. I especially enjoy the red rock formations of Utah and Arizona.
We have a 2014 Earthcruiser that will go just about anywhere and a 2008 Jeep JK 4-door. We have had just about every recreational vehicle there is. From a 40ft motorhome to a Four Wheel Camper. I am an Overland Bound member 13165 and enjoy meeting others that like to enjoy the outdoors.
I am also an Extra Class Ham Radio operator. I have a station set up at my house in Olympia Wa and a mobile in the Earthcruiser. My call sign is W7BR hence the name of the channel.
This channel is an attempt to document some of the trips we go on and how we get there. I plan on also adding some operation of the Ham Radio while mobile.
Life is too short, get out and enjoy our beautiful country and landscape.

Pebble Beach at Blackfoot Reservoir
We stop at Pebble Beach at the Blackfoot Reservoir in Idaho. When we arrived it was stormy and windy but warm. 30 mins later sunny and the rest of the afternoon and evening we enjoyed the outdoors. #storm at the #lake in #idaho

Unfortunately just a close group going this time, thanks for watching
At least your not in a tent, looks like a great place
Absolutely stunning seeing this innovation & dare to design and try !
Moral of the story, dont buy a Mosley
Love the mosley, don't put it on a small tower!!
Beauty tower. VA7 WPX
Range&how many users
1400 feet and 29 devices of various needs, from access points to cameras
500 metrs?
Pretty close
How do you like it?
Love it, would buy another in a second
Wow. Lots of tension at the base point on that rod. The pwoer of steel and electric motors is amazing
Had a pucker factor first few times I lowered it, now no big deal. Thanks for watching
Anybody been here?
This looks like someone that has too much time in their hands. I'm jealous, I don't. Lol
Nice view. Good luck on your journey!
There is a large part of me that makes me smile that you haven't sold the Earthcruiser yet.
That whiskey 7 is awesome
😂 If the camper is a rockin, don’t come a knockin!😂 Congratulations, newly weds!
Funny.
Appreciate the congratulations! We’re “newly wed” for the last 32 years!😂

😂😂😂 Glad to see that you made it out alive! 😂😂😂
Starlink is up, the verdict is still out
@@Whiskey7BackRoads hehehe!
Earthcruiser in Australia. US Branch has gone into Liqidation
Yes, went public last month or two
Earthcruiser Australia is alive and well. US branch is in Liquidation
Yes
Eaethcruiser Australia is alive and well. US branch is in liquidation
Yes
Wow
Wow, you just dig a hole 4x4x4feet deep and fill the whole hole with concrete. You never over dig the size of the hole. You never pour a little bit in the centre of an oversize hole and backfill the rest with dirt and stone. As soon as you get a big rain and wind that baby is going to be tilting. Good Luck with that Man!!
Thats funny, been up 3 years and straight as an arrow, thanks for the kind words.. ha ha Also 10 ft deep by 4x4 so pretty sure its not going anywhere
AMAZING WORK! THANKS FOR THIS NEEDED REVIEW TOO
I'm always amazed at how that little bitty screw on the heights towers can take all the strain of lifting the tower. Its fantastic. A really nice setup. 73 from Tennessee! KO4WSH said that.
I know, the first time going down I had my fingers crossed. Thanks for watching, 73 from backroads
Nice tower setup!
Thank you, it happened after a disaster to the first tower
Beautiful! A ham’s dream!
😂 loving the wife’s tractor? 😂
Does this work on Mac?
Not sure, might look at Doozy website
Thanks for the video, would you like to know the distance in meters to your gate?
In meters it's about 400, thanks for watching
Looking great!!
Come to the 2024 Rendezvous, more info at www.whiskey7backroads.com. Thanks for watching
The Hole.
I thought you had to wait 30 days for concrete to cure?
I don't remember how many days it was but all is fine. I could never wait that long to play with the new toy!!
My gosh that such a beautiful place.
Thanks, better when it's a little warmer. Lol
Thx!
Enjohyed your video. Heading thru this summer. Grey's Road ok for 22 ft camper pulled by truck? Also, how was your cell reception throughout trip in case of a breakdown. Thx!
No problem with truck and trailer but no cell phone almost entire road. But we'll traveled and lots of people to help.
Hey , what internet speed are you getting at the gate ?
70-80 MBPS roughly
@@Whiskey7BackRoads thanks for confirming 👍
What speed at the house? Trying to figure out how much of a drop off in speed and latency.
@michaelburgess2461 we have about 180mb at router from starlink and that is hard wirednto tplink so about a 1/3 out at the gate
Thanks for the info tonight on OMISS 40. I have some research to do! KK7NED
How wide is your vehicle's body and how wide is it wheel to wheel? Just want to make sure my vehicle is a comfortable width for this pass. Thanks for the video.
I am in WA and the rig is in Mt so I can't measure for sure. I can say that it's very close to a full size truck. Will measure next visit to MT
😂
Haha, I am familiar with that scene. 😂
Hi 👋 your channel popped up in my feed after I posted a video. I've not seen a vehicle like yours before. How cool! The adventures, beautiful terrain and dogs. All awesome! Subscribed.
Thanks, it's an Earthcruiser and hopefully will be doing more adventures in spring. With Riley and Rusty!! Thanks for watching
@@Whiskey7BackRoads looking forward to that!
I have been installing TP-Link products throughout my property. I currently have two of the 650’s for my outside access points. Both are connected via CAT6 cable but they also are mesh enabled with the Omada Controller. I also have three access points inside my home. I have been very impressed with both the hardware and software on the TP-Link products so fare.
Thanks for the input, yes I am also impressed and will be installing more. I have the Omada controller running on virtual machine in another state on a server and works great. Thanks for watching
nice if you have a lot of money and a lot of space....otherwise, great set-up.
Hi Brent, Nice product! Anything that is wireless and works from 1300 feet away is priceless. You asked for an opinion on 1 or 2 channels. My opinion is that “whiskey 7” is your brand and any content will serve both Ranch or Exploration. So 1 channel! Peace
Two channels. Love to see more ranch.
So far 2 channels, thanks for watching
Two channels. Love the gate. good job
1 vote for 2 channels, thanks for watching
More ranch or backroads???
