Welcome to the 2024 Dubai ladies family holiday vlog! Travel from London to the UAE with me, my Mum and Gran - yep, that's right, 3 generations take the big city! Come and explore the Habtoor Grand Resort with us (this is Mum and I's second stay here) and safe to say, we weren't disappointed!
The hotel itself is centrally located within the Jumeirah Beach Residence extended strip - just an additional 10 mins stroll from the main JBR Walk. Our favourite part is the beach and the layout of the hotel. We always tend to stay Club level in Dubai to make it a bit more package friendly when it comes to cost. We also upgraded to half board plus which was thrown in at no extra charge, due to ongoing work at the hotel. Apart from some areas being noticeably noisy during the day/early evening, it didn't totally bother us.
I'd highly recommend the Habtoor Grand half-board/half-board plus package. Soft drinks were included in addition to water; the set menus included a 3 course meal with plentiful options; and the waiting times weren't particularly long. As part of our Club lounge access/room, we also got to use our evening canapé hours in the Polo Bar if we chose - this offered a lovely view of the pool/beach area and again offered up afternoon tea type snacks, along with the unlimited free drinks.
Aside from the hotel, we visited some of our favourite landmarks. We finally had dinner sat around the Dubai Fountains at the Dubai Mall (shoutout Tap House); ventured out on an evening cruise for Mother's Day and did some serious shopping at the Marina Mall on those more rainy days - yes, Dubai can flood!
We were gutted that on this occasion yet again, unfortunately the Dubai Eye was closed. For several years now, it seems that way but hopefully in future it opens back up. Pier 7 is always a vibe and Ladies Night is always a must. We hung out at Cargo's, with unbeatable views of the marina and 3 free drinks each! Everywhere we went, the service was fabulous and always extra care when looking after my elderly Grandma which was much appreciated - including queue skipping at the Dubai Mall taxi station!
I can confidently say that we will be back to Dubai as a family. This is my Mum and I's 6th or 7th visit over the past decade and my Grandma's second experience. The weather could have been a bit nicer but I actually really enjoyed the slightly wilder waves in the sea! Dubai - you've been a 10/10 as always and we can't fault you for anything.
