The old man and the streets
Vietnam
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 27 ต.ค. 2024
Welcome to my channel where I take you walking through the streets of various cities in the world. I am 58 years old and sometimes may change walking pace at intervals. But I Promise that I shall show my viewers many cities as beautifully as possible. Walking can be an exercise, leisure or a real life travel experience when visiting parts of cities and enjoying the landmarks within them. Initially I shall take you through the streets of Vietnam where I live. As and when I visit other countries, I shall show you the city views as I walk along the roads, streets, alleys, highways, seashores, etc. I shall cover some food joints and local cuisines too to change the taste. Many cities in the world are not pedestrian friendly. I shall walk in the daytime and also at night.
I walk alone and have to manage my phone camera sometimes with difficulty.
I hope you like my videos. Please subscribe and leave a comment to help me create new videos for you.

Make Your Visit to Sapa Wonderful with These Top Tips #sapa #vietnam #traveltips #walking
#walk #hillstation #trek #travel
The old man visits Sapa from Hanoi and does plenty of walking. But this video is about his tips to tourists before they visit Sapa, a picturesque town in the northern mountains of Vietnam and offers a unique and memorable experience. Here are seven things you must remember when planning your trip:
1. Weather Preparedness: This is no 1 among the old man’s tips. Sapa's weather can be unpredictable, with sudden changes due to its high altitude. Pack layers of clothing to stay comfortable in varying temperatures, and be prepared for rain, especially during the monsoon season.
2. Travel by train to Sapa from Hanoi: This trip is very uncomfortable as per the old man. Please check his recommendations in the video.
3. Trekking Essentials: Sapa is famous for its trekking routes through terraced rice paddies and lush valleys. Ensure you have sturdy hiking boots, a map or guide, and plenty of water. Hiring a local guide can enhance your experience and provide valuable insights.
4. Local Cuisine: Don’t miss out on trying Sapa’s local specialties. However during the video I have suggested some recommendations about Restaurants and plan for lunch and dinner.
5. Sustainable Tourism: Be mindful of your environmental impact. Stick to marked trails while trekking, avoid single-use plastics, and support local businesses and artisans.
6. Health Considerations: Altitude sickness can be a concern for some visitors. Take it slow when you first arrive to acclimatize, and stay hydrated. It’s also wise to have travel insurance in case of any health issues. The old man had breathing trouble when climbing on the steep Cat Cat trek
7. Travel from Lao Cai to Sapa
The old man has suggested taxi bookings and early check ins at the hotel. Please watch the video
By keeping these tips in mind, you'll ensure a more enjoyable and culturally enriching experience in the breathtaking landscapes of Sapa.
