Looking at this 11 months later, you should really make a more modern video considering the new links update. Here are some things I noticed while playing other people's maps: 1. Making the starting cutscene too long - people do this A LOT. For the first couple of times, the cutscene is mildly interesting. But after that, it just gets boring and repetitive. My recommendation is too make it 2-3 scenes long. 2. Misuse of linked items - people sometimes put links for unnecessary stuff. ex: a linked door for every single door in the regular building. I know it is a cool new feature but people should know when and how to use it. 3. Hard to find items - I am fine with a challenge, but making every item extremely hard to find makes it boring for players who just want to play a cool map. 4: Extremely large maps - especially maps where a lot of walking is necessary. I always found Book 2: Chapter 9 annoying for this as there is a lot of walking, making the maps feel repetitive and boring. Another thing is making players go back and forth, which Book 2: Chapter 1 suffers from. 5: Extremely long maps - an ideal time (IN MY OPINION) varies around 2-5 min or 5-10 min depending on the type map you are trying to make. Making a map extremely long and repetitive makes it feel boring. 6: Making a just-started map public (not really a building issue rather a moral one) - people make the title of their map something like "The Haunted House" and then all there is is a baseplate and a couple of npc's. This is a waste of many people's time as you are, in a way, lying to them. 7. Tall rooms/hallways - a lot of people make rooms/hallways unnecessarily and unrealistically tall. An ideal height in 2-3 blocks tall. 8. Inconsistency of doors - something a lot of people do is use Book 2 doors and Book 1 locked doors in the same place in a map. I understand that there are no locked variants of the Book 2 wood and metal doors and the ship doors, but there are a lot of tricks to lock them. 9. Block worlds (Minor Issue) - When people are making environments, they usually just make a flat block of grass and spam trees. When people are making caves, they just make a rectangular tube. Environments should be realistic and have a lot of slopes of various angles. 10. Locked Spawn (Minor issue) - I see this a lot with beginner maps. Gameplay-wise, the piggy should always be able to catch a player at any time. Sometimes, people place the player spawn in a locked room, forcing the player to open the room so piggy can start chasing them. 11. Overuse of vents (Minor Issue) - A LOT of people put complex vent systems in their maps. However, they don't serve much purposes other than being camping spots. The main purpose of vents are to be shortcuts that players can take to to go to certain rooms faster while being safe from piggy. 12. Tubes (Minor Issue) - A lot of maps I played before are just tubes. This is not a major issue, but it is better to make actually buildings rather than just hallways.

I just hate long vents on the map someone will just hide there and for some reason everyone making this mistake 💀

I can't agree with the resize one, because some times i want to add New doors to the walls, but i can't, because i used resize Tool, so i need to delete the wall, and re-build the wall without resize.

Sometimes I bealive when people say your map is good is not because its amazing but because their expectations are increadibly low so once they see a map that is above average they find it nice.

For my map, i dont even use a piggy, instead i use NPCS, and i use ALOT and ALOT of ammo, guns, carrots, bones, grass ect. This makes it easier for the player, instead of being destroyed by soldiers or the ship members.

but what about an millitary section for spamming alot of those solders???

Also one more advice is if you have death blocks anywhere you should put a warning sign to let players know because sometimes I touch a car for example and it kills me and it makes players mad
