Hey TH-cam! I’m getting back into making some videos after a very long 7 year absence! I’m trying to upload mostly train and railroad related videos, but we’ll see what happens. At some point, I’d like to try my hand at making vlogs or reviews or something. I'd like to thank my friends and family for supporting me on this channel and for being here every step of the way. :)
Norfolk Southern Local Meets a Road Train | Norfolk Southern New Castle District
In Richmond, Indiana, I caught the local switch job working local industries as usual. Today, the local was powered by SD60E number 7026. It was built in June of 1986 by EMD for NS as an SD60 and rebuilt in March of 2016 by Norfolk Southern’s Juniata Shops. The consist is pretty typical of local trains working Richmond.
The switch crew pulled off the main to work a plastic factory just in time to let a mainline freight pass by. There were only a few minutes between the main clearing and the mainline train passing through, so I’d say this was well timed!
Thank you for watching! As always, subscribe for more videos like this! I come out with a video every Sunday.

Four Way Meet!! | An Evening of NS and CSX Trains at Winton Place, Cincinnati
มุมมอง 210วันที่ผ่านมา
Dad and I traveled to Winton Place in Cincinnati to take a look at the railroad action in that area. It was as busy as ever that day with plenty to see!! CSX and Norfolk Southern share tracks through this area, so there is a fantastic variety of trains rolling through the area! The highlight of the evening was witnessing a four way meet between trains late in the day. The dispatcher must have h...
Intermodal Trains Come in Pairs! | Norfolk Southern New Castle District
มุมมอง 9214 วันที่ผ่านมา
Turns out, intermodal trains come in pairs!! The first intermodal came through at a good rate of speed! It was unusually empty! I wonder if it was an extra movement to ferry well cars to another location. I loved the horn on the single AC44C6M leading! The second intermodal followed only a few minutes behind and was much more loaded. It was led by another AC44C6M with two GEVOs trailing. Overal...
178 Car CSX Train Rumbles Past Liberty Depot | Screamin DPUs and Lots of Horn!
มุมมอง 12021 วันที่ผ่านมา
I was able to catch this CSX train on the Indianapolis Sub as it slowly made its way South towards Hamilton, Ohio and the junction with the Toledo Sub. This regular train always seems to run really long, and this one was no exception at 178 cars! There was plenty of horn action coming through Liberty as there are 4 grade crossings in very quick succession. In addition, the train is topping a gr...
Single GEVO Grinds Out of Richmond, In With Covered Hoppers | NS New Castle District
มุมมอง 181หลายเดือนก่อน
This poor crew may have had a long day! A single GEVO is grinding its way through Richmond, Indiana trailing a long line of seemingly loaded covered hoppers. I can imagine this train struggled with some of the grades on this line. This train seemed rather underpowered to me. As always, thank you for watching and subscribe for more!! Magnificent catches of the trains coming by and pass, I like it 5 stars. Thumbs up. Hearing that amazing diesel sound and cars coming through is absolutely crazy. Keep up the perfect work, my friend, i just liked and subscribed your channel, Greetings from Portugal to the USA.
Thank you so much! I appreciate the support! I’m doing my best!
@@Thej611 it was my pleasure, mate.
@@Thej611 the US trains are amazing.
That’s a sd40e but ns sd50s where rebuilt into sd40es
Gotcha! Externally, it looks a lot like an SD50. :)
@@Thej611you where kind of right with sd50 tho
Very horny.
Great video well done Justin!
Hey thank you! Appreciate the support!
Tracks need to be cleaned 😮
Indeed! They’re pretty dirty in that area
Cool bud 😂
Great video. I subscribed to your channel as well!
Awesome thank you! I appreciate the sub and support!
What's so interesting? All major railroads do this.
They do, but I’ve found it to be an unusual occurrence on the New Castle District as of late. It’s something outside of the ordinary, so I found it interesting!
SO, WHY, EXACTLY is this lash-up so doggone interesting? I won't know unless you tell me by some amplifying info included in your Short! Short refers to the length of the video, NOT to the lack of information included in it. If you cannot express why YOU find the lash-up interesting, don't expect ME to watch it! DUH DUH DUH DUH
Unfortunately, there’s a hard character limit in the titles of these shorts, so you can’t convey much information in them. But long story short, I found it interesting because there was a UP locomotive leading (it’s very unusual to see other railroads’ locomotives running on the New Castle District at this time) and there was a GP38-2 trailing, which almost always appear only in yard work. It looked like it’s being ferried elsewhere.
@@Thej611 I appreciate your telling me why you find the lash-up of locos interesting. Please look at the Description of other Creators' videos, I think you will be surprised at how very much can be posted there. In particular, Jaw Tooth, who also posts videos of rail-related content, always includes a very lengthy and detailed Description with his videos. Try it, you'll like it ... and so will your readers.
Better question, is there a motor attached to it😈
😂😂😂
Excited!
😂😂😂😂
Indiana?
Yes that’s right!
@@Thej611 I was like that’s by where I live but I wasn’t sure if there was more than one beautiful train though
@timothytucker9129 there were that day! I have the full video on my channel if you were interested!
Answer: wouldn’t run without one. BTW. That’s blower surge.
Oh ok! My bad
Thats called blower surge....
Oh ok! I didn’t know.
Sounds purrdy healthy to me!😊
Just a little. Onr😂
NS is my favorite railroad and i love they're k5la
Oh ! Thanks
What do you mean ' foreign power '?
I’m this case, foreign power simply means locomotives from a railroad other than the one that’s running the train. I’m this case, Kansas City Southern units on a Norfolk Southern train!
nice one
Thank you!

Bro lives in my fing town wtf

It’s a rly great system
It truly is! I volunteer there as well! It’s a good time

I’m not sure! I don’t know the rules on them
2 longs a short and a long! I speak railroad!😂
? Sounds like a 3 trumpet to me. Common
It’s different than the monotonous K5LAs everything else has. That’s why I said interesting
Sounds like they might be firing The horn from one of the other diesels at the same time.

Waow Amazing
Bro you live in Connersville to
I don’t live in Connersville per se, but I live really close by!
Great video!
Hey thank you!!
Love that horn, awesome video!
Hey thanks! I thought it was a neat horn! NS seems to run some interesting horns on their locomotives
Ships Like Submarines! That We'll Get 4 Birthdays!
It's very similar to pere marquette 1225
It is! It’s pretty much exactly the same design!
In a matter of speaking. They're actually in fact cousins. Same type of locomotive (Berkshire), but have different features to each other 🔥
Very cool is the 709 also a Lima Hamilton diesel?
It is indeed! We just finished the restoration this year!
@@Thej611 wow that is so awesome that you now have two working examples of one of the rarest diesel locomotives in the world a Lima Hamilton locomotive unique and special and both equipped with M3 horns the M3H horn on number 25 is my favorite because it’s the Canadian version of that horn I grew up seeing Pentrex production Shenandoah the second half which covers the western Maryland scenic railroad in the era when they had three Alco locomotives former Boston and Maine RS3 1501 which was numbered 199 former CNW Alco RSD5 number 1689 with as delivered number and former Canadian national MLW FPA4 number 6771 numbered 305 it was equipped with an M3H horn and the engineer had a very cool way of blowing that horn went on the return trip rounding Helmsteader’s Curve here is a link to a video of the western Maryland scenic railroad in their era of Alco diesel locomotives when 305 is leading back to Cumberland you can see why the Canadian M3H is one of my favorite sounding horns of all time th-cam.com/video/13d97PozHHg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=H52smlMeSOMbT2h1
@@Thej611 wow that is awesome no there are two operating examples of probably one of the rarest diesel locomotives in the world two Lima Hamilton diesels 25 is my favorite because she wears my favorite Canadian airhorn the Holden M3H model was used on the EMD FP9 and MLW FPA4 locomotives when they operated for VIA RAIL I think it has a great sound to it there was a time when the Western Maryland scenic Road operated three Alcos one of those engines was FPA4 number 6771 which was number 305 whenever you would stand on the mound overlooking Helmsteader’s curve I always loved hearing the locomotive’s M3H echoing off the surrounding hills even though I wasn’t around to see it I grew up watching it on Railroad DVD by Pentrex called Shenandoah that covered two different railroads the first half covers the Winchester and Western on their line from Winchester to the Union Sand mine the second half being the western Maryland scenic Railroad When I got the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad DVD that was covered by green frog Productions I actually learned that the Alco were temporary on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad was looking for a steam locomotive to take over their tourist operations all three Alco have gone their different ways the FPA4 now carries its original CN number 6771 and resides alongside sister engine 6777 on the Cuyahoga Valley scenic railroad
There is probably more steam whistling than steam consumed for driving.
You’re right there!!
Is that the facility in Owasso, MI?
It’s not! It’s the shops of the Whitewater Valley Railroad in Connersville, Indiana
I actuality meet the Engineer and the Fire Man/Women. The two are married and they loved trains ever since they were born. They wanted to work for the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, and I how I know this, is that I got a cab ride in the Southern Mikado 4501 and meat them. They are very sweet and kind!
Oh that’s awesome! I wish I could have ridden in the cab!!!
And NO ELECTRONIC BELLS! They cause cancer.
Class, style, steam. Congruent.
She was looking good!
I KNOW!!!!!!!
Great catches and nice video
Well thank you!
Yeah in electric mode, they are loud especially in person I’ve heard them.
Same when they have that diesel engine running. Just chugging away even when standing still
