Thank you for showing us that you need a "default slot" in the amin bp for the anim montage node to work. Kinda crazy because how would i find out that i need that node? i was sure the anim bp somehow doesnt know what anim it is and thats why it probly doesnt work but i would have never guessed you need that . Thanks for saving my time

Thank you mate. very clear explanation. Got into some troubles when doing this to a custom meta human tho. in it the mesh has only the arms and legs and torso and bottom separated. so the animation seq doesn't shift to ninja mode. Trying to figure things out

I have a toggle for changing from FirstPerson to ThirdPerson views using "C". This all worked great, however, it doesn't crouch in FirstPerson. I added print strings, and it is being triggered still. Just can't work out what's happening

yeah only problem is that its useless lol ...no games adds a walk on left control ...show how to add the walk on a gamepad XY axis is more useful if you move the input slowly it walks if your max your run then you can add another input for sprinting

It works fine for me without adding the "Loop" on the "WalkCrouch" animation. Not sure what would've happened there.
Everytime I put the value 300, UE converts it to 299,999939. Does anyone know why??
I solved it. I disabled the option "Snap to grid", edited the values and enabled "Snap to grid" again.

You need to set the variable "Can Be Damaged" to false, just like in episode 02.

i have an issue where for some reason the crouch walking animation just stops after like 5 seconds .how do i fix?
set it to loop in the crouch walk state (If still don't understand, watch end of video)
All in all, this is a great video series! At about 8:00 though, you suggest casting to a BP class. While this does work, it creates hard references that can create major problems later. It would be much better to use an Interface Message off of GetOwner instead.

Sounds like you created AnimNotify instead of AnimNotifyState
How would we go about making it so that we can only roll if we’re moving? I don’t want to be able to roll from standing still.
It doesn't work for me. The animation doesn't play? I got a note on the 'DefaultSlot' that says "Source was visible but ignored."

Check out his anim notifies video. He does that for a roll animation but it works with crouch as well 👍🏻
