if this knife had a spring assist i would have never bought it. spring assist is the worst andf its disgusting. a buttery smooth ball bearing pivot system is far superior to a crappy spring assist knife that is a literally risk to yourself and requires caution with deployment not to mention in most states its a felony to carry them. i literally have wasted hundreds of dollars on knives with very little info only to find out they are spring assisted at which point i literally give them away. i dont care if its cpm m4 cpm cruwear cpm magnacut etc...if the knife is spring assisted its trash garbage useless. i seriosuly worry about your mental state. you literally actually just said you wished the knife was spring asssisted. you really mustve hit your head hard on the way down here.

Just got a KDLitker Nichia 519a, three mode Low, Med, Hi for a Surefire 6Z. New Surefire batteries. Does not work well with Low nor Med. Ramps down and flashes. Hi works fine.

Definitely not a gasket it's a lighted tailcap powered by the same battery that powers the light itself. But yes even in 2022 the X5 is still a bitchin lil pocket thrower and overall great compact lil light. I personally wouldn't EDC it because of the lighted tail cap and I can't say how reliable it would be in the pocket everyday in my mind it's more of a pocket rocket or hot rod. However that is not to say it's especially fragile or prone to any particular failures or anything like that just mainly doesn't seem too practical for edc but again fantastic thrower.

Sorry, but Surefire 6Ps are overrated and overpriced. Can't take 18650s/16650 Unless the newer 6Ps can take XX650 cells, I'm not paying over $50 for trash, yeah I'm looking at you too Maglite. P.S I love my MAGLITE.
