    If you're going for a kick the ball should be thrown to where it's slightly to the left of you when you hit. That way you can brush up on the ball as you mack contract for more of a kick. Hitting the ball directly over your head as you're doing in this video will just make it flat.

    from my first view, your movement is fine but all your strokes need polishing. to be specific volleys, forehand timing and intent, backhand power. you also need to work on your approach shots both forehand topspin and back slice and or topspin.

    Hey, great that you're out there playing and competing, love to see it :) My immediate feedback would be to split step and attempt early preparation before each shot if you can. It seems like at times you're far too late preparation wise and can get you in a lot of trouble trying to get the ball in court. Commit to your shot and follow through with conviction because the moment you did, they were great shots causing your opponent trouble. Those balls landing short mid court are pretty much handing the advantage to the opponent so something to think about in practice is to get those balls deeper (closer to the baseline) and cross court. Your serve is great by the way. Having an off day is natural and don't be too hard on yourself. Get back to the practice court and get those reps in! Good luck on your next match 💪🏽🎾

    You are atheltic, have good footwork and good serve, so the big progress from here will come if you can learn to hit with weight transfer, legs and unit turn, not muscles in your arm. Get set, relax your arm and esp your wrist, pull forward with body unit turn that will lag the racket (so buttcap faces forward) and then just let it fly through the impact. Add spin/lift by pulling more vertically and getting more under the ball. Get a rallying partner and just do that for a few weeks - you'll be a new player.

    You gotta play with respect for your opponent as in give him the most enjoyable hit of his life. A little trick I use is pretend ur playing with a girl. That way you don’t try and over play, hit nice balls and can’t lose your bearing. Good luck

    First of all u have great coordination and athleticism. You can see it on your serve and footwork. I wonder why you dont use your athleticism to strike the ball, instead of just letting the arm do the whole work. Try to generate power from your legs by going throgh the ball and taking an extra step after you hit the ball. As you can see it works on your serve amazing. And be relaxed in your arm and whole body while striking; the power does not come from your strength; look at sinner. Keep it up!

    • @michael.nightwing
      @michael.nightwing 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I really appreciate this. I have felt like I’ve been doing too much arm and not enough body as well. Like my arm starts to hurt from “muscling” it so much lol.

  • @Andreabay90

    good timing on backhand, when you're blocking it back. I think you could improve your "topspin backhand" as it's a bit less dangerous than your forehand. on your forehand, seemed to make mistakes when your feet got caught. but otherwise it was pretty nice. opponent did seem to have a pretty solid forehand though. Your serve seemed like one of your strengths . sort of like getting stuck. I think Your legs were quite firmly on the ground, maybe more in the 1st set. I been trying to be looser on my toes, to allow my hips and rest of body to rotate as im hitting. Seems like a "good shot" gets mangled by my feet not being ready, my arm is moving and seems like its doing the right thing, but shot just doesn't work because my lower body is stuck (when you lazy and tired, it happens a lot :( ) take it with a grain of salt as i got a small calf-sprain today lol. But I do feel like my shots do more what i want when my feet are moving.

    • @michael.nightwing
      @michael.nightwing 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah I need to step through my shots a lot more because I feel like I get to the ball faster than I should be and then my feet get stuck

  • @gabrielevinci
    @gabrielevinci 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Technique. No technique no good shots no power no consistency. It's all arm based, too close to the body, wrong mechanic, no body engagement. Compare how your body engage in the serve and how is still in other shots.

    • @dariusd2003
      @dariusd2003 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Good comment. He'd do well with working with a coach to get the fundamental strokes down because he clearly has an athletic sense and great hand eye coordination. Like those backhand slices/bh volleys would be great if he held the racquet the proper way.

  • @KD-195

    Played better than you probably give yourself credit for! Your best and most confident looking shot is your serve which you shouldn't underestimate - that's typically most difficult thing to get right. Even forehand is solid technique from a gripping perspective but I'd say you need more racket head speed. Basically, you need swing faster through the shot but brushing up on the ball so you generate enough spin to keep it in. Backhand probably needs most work from a technical standpoint and keeping a correct grip on it. Although you hit some really nice ones there too. Similar to forehand you need more racket head speed but you also need to come under the ball a bit more rather than connecting with through the middle. Reason for that is you have less control if you strike it through the middle. Either way you look a real natural player to me. Apologies if you didn't want all that advice/didn't find it helpful but thought since you asked I'd help. Tennis is a real tough/lonely sport so i feel you lol Good luck!

    Leg and body positioning are key to a one handed backhand. There isnt as much margin for error with the positioning compared to a forehand. If you want a visual of it, look up stan wawrinka or roger federer. They both had the best one handed backhands ever in tennis.

    seems to me that biggest difference is how you throw the ball, in fist case, you throw it a bit behind you, you have to bend backwards more so you spin the ball side to side as you straighten up, instead of top to down. I remember having the same problem. we were always taught that the ball should land right in front of your toes, if you let it drop. Try to practice that for like 10 throws, and then serverve on 11th throw. you should see difference
