The front brake does like 75 percent of the braking it is why fixed gear bikes usually only come with a front brake. This is a nice bike a nice hybrid of bmx and fixed gear.
My baby is a 2017 Sport and I’ve de-chromed all the emblems, the chrome stripping front & rear + the chrome exhaust tips. I’ll have to give the rims serious consideration.
You made the opposite from me 😂 I purchased the tt-02d because it had the oilshocks bearings cooler and some better plastic parts in the box.... But for driving not for drifting 😅 But for drifting Tamiya really should have put a diff lock in the package. I don't know if the gearing is different from the Standart tt02?? For the moment I don't feel the need for a brushless conversation... Is fast enough for my purposes (Sport tuned). I like these brushed things haha
I've been working off of someone's throwaway TA-03F for quite some time and I'm ready to pick up my own TT-02. Nice budget mods! Going budget is definitely my style. 😎
Good review, would have liked to see it ridden. This is my new Century bike, if my 6KU URBAN TRACK was an F-16, then this is a C-130 Hercules. There are no bottle mount bosses, but ways around that. Job well done. Thanks for the review.
If they are friction shocks there isn’t any oil included. If you can twist the tops off they have oil. Do a search for tamiya shocks, that should help you.
I race my TT-02 Raikiri GT. No motor cover, ball bearings, Xtra large front and rear foam bumpers, hole in the crown gear cover so I can lube it. 2S 5200 Gold Bat Lipo. I will install SCT nerf bars on the side of the TT-02 chassis for protection. I have that battery alarm. What did you do to make it work? Do you plug your batt into it when you run the car? How did you set it to the desired voltage cut-off? Nice car, like the body. My Raikiri is candy yellow with bright silver metallic backer...looks like a sparkly gold bar. Thanx...
Thanks for the help with the decals! It actually works great to heat them up with a blow dryer then rip them off with painters tape! Looks awesome mat black.

Thanks for the video. I'm looking to pick up the same bike. I'm 51 and an average Schmo like yourself, looking for a comfortable bike to ride around the neighborhood with my wife and son. I currently have a SE om flyer 26in that I absolutely hate. I'm selling it to buy the crew Defender. The SE is just too small
@@lyssanch3096 I never bought it. I ended up getting a used 80s era Schwinn Heavy Duti cruiser that I turned into a klunker. It's my favorite bike to ride!
I went with the large, I'm about 5'10" . You have to pull off the end cap with a lot of elbow grease, wd40 and a screwdriver and then pull off hand grip with some wd40 sprayed underneath and slowly pull it off. Make sure to wipe down bar before reinstalling so handgrip doesn't spin.
I have this body shel...but I am fiting it on an LRP S10 Blast Touring...whit minor modifications on height ...I need to cut out the bottom , front and rear spoilers...
Hi! great video! How about the quality of the tt02 chassis? I am between this chassis and the kyosho fazer mk2..because both have 2 differentials, but I don't know which one will have more resistance and longevity, which of the 2 will resist, more speed, without damaging, differentials, gears, arrows ... greetings and a strong hug!
I have since made the car brushless and has been holding up well. I don’t know much about fazer so I can’t compare. Tamiya parts are everywhere and plentiful, not sure on kyosho. Something to think about.
I have actually noticed the same problem at high speeds. I blame it on my brushless setup, maybe not meant for this chassis. Probably can be remedied with some good tuning, but I mainly use it for drift anyway.
It's from torque steer due to the nature of the chassis with the spinning shaft. Hard to fully get rid of. Make sure steering is tight and shim all your diffs and wheel hubs to reduce play. That helped a bunch.
About at what speed do you think it starts to happen? Was looking at picking up on of these, but might pass on it, if this is a huge problem. Mainly just want to bash in the street, but if it can't hold a straight line at 30-40mph, I'll look at something else.
@@JasonGN2045 At about 30-35mph begin s the nightmare. But two weeks ago I fixed the problem. Solution? Replaced all steering cup linkages with the ball ones that use 3mm screws. Now is perfect. nice homo brakes, you probably ride with a park tools apron on
Love the magnets i definitely dont want to drill into it
It says you can ride it fixed or free how do you change it from fixed gear to regular
Hey, where’d you get her seat?
Amazon, bikearoo I think is the brand.
I just bought the bike online from city ground and it didn’t not show me when will it be delivered did that happen to you?
How is the bike holding up after all this time? They’re on sale for $200 right now and I’m considering getting one.
Sold it a long time ago, but for $200 I think that’s well worth it.

I got mine like 2 weeks ago, I changed the bars, tires and seat now drives like a dream but I’m a near future I will chance the brakes and crankset
Are you able to share the seat info?
I just got 2 of these kits with the Mercedes AMG GT3 body. Its looking nice.
Nice tips! Working on my first tt-02 now. These tips help. Cheers
Does it come built 😅
Nope
Do you know where you got the seat? Been looking to replace mine

Is that a 2s or a 3s lipo your using?
2s, I think 3s was too much for it if I remember correctly.
Would this be good for $300?
Yes
just got one for $50 on CL in mint shape
