It’s surrounded by vineyards and the Little Carpathian mountains, crisscrossed with forested hiking and cycling trails. มุมมอง 8915 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
The name "London Bridge" refers to several historic crossings that have spanned the River Thames between the City of London and Southwark in central London since Roman times. The current crossing, which opened to traffic in 1973, is a box girder bridge built from concrete and steel. It replaced a 19th-century stone-arched bridge, which in turn superseded a 600-year-old stone-built medieval stru...

Thanks for the walk about, yes the old gas works now takes up most of the so called Riverside Walk. The high street does carry on over the A2 for about half a mile towards Chatham. This section is completely different to the section you walked. It does not have many shops but it has raised footpaths what are quirky and well worth a look. We will look forward to any more Rochester vids you may do. All the best Mark and Julie
I love travelling by train. Thanks
I remember flying on the Monarch Boeing 720B's in the 70's !
It sure is
Hitchin is a great town! Loads of antique shops
I’ve been to Wrocław and it’s my favourite Polish city, the others are now on my to do list , thank you 🙏
Katowice doesn't have an old town because it's a very young city, it was a village until 1864. It became a city due to the huge mining industry there.
@@allthis701 yes it’s definitely lacking something , reminds me of Barnsley
@@grandadontour1963 If you want Silesian cities with actual old towns, try Wroclaw or Opole. Also smaller Silesian towns like Nysa are worth visiting.
@@allthis701 Gliwice, Bytom, Tarnowskie Góry, Mikołów. These are much closer to Katowice.
Алленштайн,
It’d be great if some if you could subscribe to this channel 🙏🙏
Any chance some of you can subscribe please
I did part of the Chess Valley walk from Chesham to Rickmansworth yesterday morning but abandoned it halfway because of the wretched mud! Not the best time of year for cross country hiking. Did loads of walks April to October this year including London Loop.
@@WESTMALLEMAN I’ve done bits if the London loop but need to get stuck into more sections
@@grandadontour1963 I chose the sunny days for my walks this summer. I’m recently retired so I can pick the nice days! Also did the whole of the Capital Ring.
@ well I’m retiring soon so will have that luxury too soon :) 🤘🤘
Such a refreshing and authentic walk through the Hertfordshire countryside! 🚶♂🌳 The muddy trails and scenic views make it feel like a real adventure. Thanks for taking us along on this journey-it’s a wonderful escape to nature! 🥾🌿
Never been but always wanted to go, nice film and lovely music to go with it! I laughed at the same time you did, reading the board of the V4 engine stating 50bhp!
I think what's happened with the flyover closing is symptomatic of Gateshead. Knackered and falling to bits. What a total shambles.🤯
Nice video. I've visited the collection several times over the last 40 years or so, and never cease to be amazed.....
@@Brian-om2hh there , the railway museum in York and the RAF museum at Hendon have always been my favourites and also favourites of my kids and now grandkids :)

Is it true the townsman tried to kill the Jews who returned and those they didn’t manage to kill were banished?
Is it true there are under a dozen Jewish people living there today?
Nice one mate brought back some good an bad memories 😂
Love to see you walk through Tulse Hill
Love it
We moved there in 1955. What a change from then !
Home sweet home... That was an interesting video, thanks for sharing. The old man in the alleyway is very friendly and can talk the hind legs of a donkey. The pong in the Rec is probably Shepherd Neame Brewery's water purifier. You can walk all the way down Abbeyfields and will get to Iron Wharf - which is worth a visit. The ship wreck is a modern Pirate ship called Revenge. It ran aground in 2016 on the way to a party in Ibiza. It was set on fire in 2018. Cleve Hill solar farm is a bit of a sore point locally!
Thanks for the feedback and local knowledge …. Yes the traversing of the solar farm was somewhat depressing albeit it’s for a good purpose.
I love these videos, thank you. I last was in Herne Hill around 2002, I was a student at St Martin in the Fields high school, lived at Maskall Close in Tulse Hill and then moved to Penge East so took the train from here sometimes; it is incredible how lovely it looks when at that time I thought it was a ghetto lol. Times sure have changed!
Thanks for sharing!
21:54 It was lit in June 2024 for the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

The transmitter you referred to is the Crystal Palace and the further one is the Croydon transmitter at Beulah Hill, Upper Norwood
Under the foot bridge (18.32) you can see a mark where the floods reached, I think in 1947.
I used to live Luton many moons ago but now reside in New Zealand I remember spending many many happy times in this park as a child. I miss my family and friends and the Luton Town Football Club and have been a supporter for over sixty years.

Nice to see a video from my home town but it looks like every other small town in Britain. I don't think I could ever see myself planning a day trip there. I have subscribed!
I love the ocean...the sound, the smell, the vast emptiness, the untamed power.
Ah you actually went fairly closed to where I used to live in Streatham! Awesome content - I really need to get myself into doing these station to station walks :D
Awesome idea. I've taken the train to Sutton a few times, having lived in Streatham previously for 15 years. Never thought about doing a walk like this - it sounds very fun. You just got another subscriber! Like this if you are reading this comment in 2124!
Nice walk as usual, but you need to cut out the music

🌟👍👍👍 I don't understand how you work so hard to create such beautiful videos but don't want to do SEO, promote videos, optimize videos, even design thumbnails. So what is the difference between uploading the video and not doing it? You just upload the video and get bored, you don't want to do anything else. See the TH-cam algorithm is not that simple. See, everything has some rules, some tips and tricks, and some criteria, if not met, your channel will not improve. I can write it down. And the most difficult thing is that you don't want to take help from anyone, consider someone who wants to help you as a fraud. Why is that? please tell
