Sure enough, there was a short email from Lisa. "My flight’s been canceled because of the snowstorm. I’m stuck in New York. I’m so sorry, I can’t make it. Merry Christmas!" Mary groaned and leaned back. “I hate you, snow,” she muttered. The phone rang one last time. It was Amy. “Hi, Mary. Jason and I are stuck on the road. The snow is too heavy, and we have to turn back.” Mary’s voice trembled. “I understand. Be safe.” “Merry Christmas,” Amy said before hanging up. Mary felt tears welling up in her eyes. She wiped them away and tried to focus on something else. Then she remembered the tradition she had followed every year since she was a child. She carefully sliced a piece of chocolate cake and poured a glass of milk, then placed them under the Christmas tree. “For Santa,” she said softly. Exhausted, Mary turned off the lights and went to bed. Later that night, the living room was silent except for the ticking clock. Suddenly, there was a faint sound near the chimney. A large man in a red suit appeared, brushing snow off his shoulders. “Ah, Mary,” Santa said to himself, spotting the plate and glass. “Even when no one else came, you thought of me.” He smiled and raised his hand, gently sprinkling a golden warmth over the room. With that, he blessed her home and vanished up the chimney into the snowy night.

Your story is very great. It helps me to improve my listening and learn something new everyday. I have enjoyed watching so many of yours videos. I would speak more confidently and fluently in mind. But, in front of other people, I can't take out my words which is stuck in my mind. The table was full of food: a big roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, fresh salad, and even a Christmas chocolate cake she had baked herself. Her phone rang, and she quickly picked it up, feeling excited. It was Kevin. “Hi, Kevin! Are you on your way?” she asked. “Hey, Mary. I’m really sorry,” Kevin said. “I bought this retro game console at the flea market yesterday, and it’s amazing. I can’t stop playing, so I won’t be able to come tonight.” “Kevin, it’s Christmas! You can’t-” “Next time, I promise. Merry Christmas!” Kevin interrupted and hung up. A few minutes later, her phone pinged with a text from Sara: "Mary, I feel so bad, but I’ve decided to go to another party. I hope you understand. Merry Christmas!" Mary clenched her jaw and muttered, “Of course. Merry Christmas to you, too.” Just then, her phone rang again. This time, it was Lucy. “Lucy! December, 16th, 2024 It's been 7days since i started writing an English diary. Whenever i have time, i try to get used to English by writing it down on paper. It maybe a little awkard and grammar may be wrong, but i will try to use it consistently. Today, i'm planning to watch my favorite movie, Eternal Sunshine. One of the greatest movies, i've seen. I've seen that movie three times. I cried and it will probably be stuck in my head for three days at least. I love this movie because it shows that as painful as our memories might be, as much as we would like to forget them. You can relate if you had a breaking up with someone you thought shared a deep emotional bond. I wish i could have my memory of this movie erased from mind, so that i could watch for the first time again. This movie speaks to me more and more as the year have gone by. GREAT MOVIE!!!

*영어 스크립트: John walked into the men’s wear section of the department store with a shopping bag. A sales assistant smiled at him. “How can I help you?” John placed a navy blue jacket on the counter. “I bought this a few days ago. It’s fine, but too thin for this weather. I’d like to return it and buy something warmer.” “Of course. May I see your receipt and card?” John handed them over. The assistant processed the refund quickly and returned his card. “The refund is complete. Let me show you our thicker coats.” A few minutes later, the assistant brought out a sleek red coat. “This one is much warmer. Would you like to try it on?” John tried it and smiled at the mirror. “This feels great. How much is it?” “It’s $400,” the assistant said. “I’ll take it,” John said, pulling out his wallet. On another floor, Laura placed a bright red coat on the counter. “I’d like to exchange this. The color isn’t right for me. Do you have it in green?” The assistant returned with a green coat. Laura tried it on and smiled. “Perfect. I’ll take it.” As Laura stepped onto the escalator with her new coat, her phone rang. “Hi, John,” she said. “What are you doing?” John asked. “Oh, just… exercising,” Laura replied hesitantly . “Turn around,” John chuckled. Laura tilted her head slightly, then slowly turned. Six steps behind her, John stood holding a shopping bag. “John!” she gasped. “What are you doing here?” “I could ask you the same thing,” John said with a grin. “Let’s talk over coffee.” They headed toward Starbucks, laughing.
