That Neumann TLM 103 is gold! Absolutely love that mic.. Hands down probably my most favorite microphones.

Hi. My advice is to try a Gefell M71s or UMT70. Those are using the original M7 capsule with pvc membrane like the famous u47. Those are also transformerless design like tlm range. The gefell m71s is one of my favourite transformerless mics.

What I'm hearing is that the TLM49 sounds a very much like the AKG P420. The TLM103 has much more mids/bottom and tone, from what I can hear

You should give the TLM 193 a go. Thats my favourite of the TLM range which I believe to be the most versatile also.

Thanks for posting this video...I'm the person who wrote the entire thing, interviewing all the contributors at an NRB conference, arranging the "set" (Knotts Berry Farm since we were a bit far from Philly, lol), and asking my friend Sam Jones to host it for free. It was a wonderful adventure and my first project of this sort (although I had to move onto another project and didn't do the final edits so was sad to see some mistakes in the final version). I learned so much about the dark side of politics and government through this, and believe it really caused me to start digging into the truth about what goes on "behind the curtain" of our current system. I am SOOOO grateful that President Trump is giving our country a huge reset and opportunity to regain so much ground lost by prior administrations. Again, thanks for sharing this...brought back some great memories :)
