Got an answer from Polk. The 3D mode is merged with Movie mode.

The same for me, with my Polk Magnifi Mini AX. 3D mode is gone. Auto and TV mode have now been added. I feel like 3D mode was better than Auto mode. I now use the movie mode.

Note: If the sound modes listed here are different from what you are seeing on the sound bar, connect your sound bar to Wi-Fi to get the latest firmware update. : Auto Mode Automatically sets the most appropriate sound mode for the media being played back. : TV Mode* Use this mode for casual TV and movie watching. This mode helps you hear all the important dialog and effects even at low to moderate volume levels. : Movie Mode* Use this mode for an enveloping and dynamic movie theater experience regardless of the content. This mode enhances the height and surround effects in Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X® audio formats and virtualizes these effects for other program formats. Due to the higher dynamic range of this mode, you may need to turn the volume up for an optimal listening experience. : Night Mode Use this mode for low-volume listening. This mode reduces bass and volume dynamics while improving voice intelligibility

Hello @nikhilayare I was told that the bar may not be reverted (rolled back) to the old firmware. Engineering did share with me that the firmware update also includes a few fixes to the on-screen Roku menu, as well as the addition of the “Auto” sound mode.

Also just noticed this on mine as well, looked online for info on a firmware update, nothing. Took searching for polk magnifi mini no 3d mode to instantly find your video. Greatly appreciated and good to know I am not the only one seeing this. No need to spend the next few hours messing about with it 😅😂 so having read the AX manual movie mode is the old 3d mode with atmos and dtsx enhanced.

So turns out it gave us the same features as the Magnifi MAX AX. If you look at that owners manual it has those options. Definitely sounds a bit better.

So strange. I feel the bass is more. But could be a placebo. If anyone can get more info on this please post.

@saintly_guy I've just noticed the same in mine. Auto and TV Mode are both new to mine as well. Obviously has been a firmware update at some point overnight but no notification of this and nothing about it on the Polk site
