why set float lower than absorb? seems backwards

DON'T WASTE THE TIME HERE. I called them for a whole week asking for information on their 48 volt alternator kit. I left message three times. They never called me back. A very unprofessional company.

My alternator stopped charging my battery. I found this regular and there is nothing lit up. No numbers or letters like In This video. I’m trying to troubleshoot and Thor forum brought me to this video. Can anyone help?

What size wire goes from the regulator to the battery bank or electric panel?

Where do i get a list of all the short display keys. For example, Fv = Float Voltage. I have a Balmar that came from the RV outfitter, but i do not have any manual that states all the different keys. I would like to know, if what i am ready is correctly configured. Do you have a support team i could call & explain?

Hi, I have just installed 2 x 614's and a centerfielder on my Catamaran, which charges my Victron lithium house bank, when the house bank reaches 14.3V, the Balmar shuts off the alternators output until it drops to 14.2V then ramps output again until 14.3V, is there a way of reducing this on/off charging when the batteries are full ? it seems like the alternator should ramp up at a lower voltage than 14.2, this causes the engine revs to increase and decrease every minute, I will set the BLM to 4 in the meantime but this wont stop the short on/off of the alternator, many thanks

So if I use this system in a vehicle, won't the "cycle" restart everytime I stop and start my vehicle ? This screws up the charging cycle I think

Where does the output of the alternator connect to? Directly to the battery terminals? To the buck boost charger (which then charge the battery)? Or to something else?

It would be interesting to see performance characteristics of the china alternator v.s. the Leece..... In most every application I always specify Leece..... you pay more.... but you get more !!!!!

Is there a option to have the engine turn on automatically when the battery bank is low or when the a/c kicks on (camper van related)

I would think Float and Absorption should be set to 0 for a LFP battery to turn the alternator off at 90-100SoC?
