Wow! So much courage in sharing that. Love you brother. Even the most inspirational people have flaws and deal with insecurity and doubt, but they inspire us when they just keep going and keep being authentic like you are. When we try being like someone else we always fall short of being who we were created to be. I constantly struggle with my imperfections and insecurities and have often wanted to be like someone else, which never works. My belief is that dishonors my creator God, by me idolizing some other flawed human instead of accepting myself as being wonderfully and fearfully made in His image with beauties and imperfections that are relatable to others. And to relate with others is a great foundation for relationship. So my prayer for you is you let Nathan Wayne shine through more and more, because you were fearfully and wonderfully made and you have a purpose to serve.

Sharing your music is sometimes a very vulnerable thing to do. You're not going to be good when you start, maybe not for several years. So don't try to be good just play what you enjoy playing and don't let haters keep you from playing and singing. You can't please everybody. If 5 million people love your songs, great. If 5 people love your songs, just as great... As long as Nathan Wayne is at peace with himself when his head hits the pillow at night. And I promise you, you will have more peace if you don't let yourself down by giving up on your vision for your life, whatever that may be, and too many people do that because they let other people's negativity into their identity. Garbage in, garbage out. Brother it's written in scripture that the Word is the most powerful creative tool when God said "let there be light" and in John 1 where it is written "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God." That's a little clue into keeping your mind healthy too. Nathan Wayne is not going to impact anyone by trying to be a Chris Stapleton. We already have one of those, we need one of you. Keep going, be you and God bless.

Here's a comment I wrote on Derek Reacts review of the album so I thought I'd post it here too, hope you find it interesting. FYI Shania is my all time #1 favourite singer / musical artist. Personally I preferred Now in it's entirety to Queen of Me but I do love quite a lot of songs on Queen of Me. I actually really loved Now, I actually really like her emotional & slower songs. Derek I'd have to disagree with you on your review (all down to individual tastes / musical style / song type / preferences) Last Day of Summer is my favourite, it's the only ballad on the album & ballads / love songs are my favourites of her music. Best Friend & Got It Good would be next picks, I really love them and have them on repeat a lot. Waking Up Dreaming obviously is an excellent song, prefer it to Giddy Up. Pretty Liar I like a lot but prefer the clean version. Inhale Exhale Air I like quite a lot, but I like it mainly one phrase and the backing track & Inhale Exhale part, and it's message being about her battle with COVID-19. I like Number One too, but it's quite a departure from her older stuff. I like Not Just A Girl & it's backing quite a bit. Hardest Stone liked but also a bit of a departure. Brand New I liked too. Shania has never done a bad song, but I'd say that this new album is trying to sound more like modern pop etc... I'd say the worst song on the album is Queen of Me, don't like the first verse at all I think there's too much going on it & it's too Swiftie etc I think Shania needs to write on her own & work with one producer & try and create a real country pop rock album closer to her classic stuff. This album is too pop, love her huge hits & Up! Would probably be my favourite album of hers as a whole. Now is my favourite album from an emotional standpoint (not a single bad track, but not instantly stand out / as memorable as her hits, big 3 albums) Last Day of Summer Best Friend Got It Good Waking Up Dreaming Inhale Exhale Air Pretty Liar Not Just A Girl Brand New Giddy Up Number One The Hardest Stone Queen of Me On Three Done and Dusted are on the Target edition I like them a lot. I'd place them generally above Hardest Stone and Queen of Me but I'm playing Done and Dusted more than the second group of songs, actually prefer it to Giddy Up actually. I think Shania went too Pop & tried to sound more like other artists with this album. Now was the most emotional / descriptive / autobiographical album. Her debut album was the most country, not a single bad song, just nothing that stands out like her big albums.
