Love the Booth Brothers so much and miss them! This song is so wonderful! The Booth Brothers voices are the smoothest, clearest, most perfect voices!!!! So are the others! But the Booth Brothers are just my fav!

David is a vocal performance major from Baylor University. At the time of this video, he hadn’t been but a year or so joined the Gaither Vocal Band as their tenor. At that time, the make up of thebGVB was Bill Gaither as bass, Mark Lowry as baritone, Guy Pernod as lead and David as tenor. I call that make up the Gaither Power Vocal Band because all but Bill had power voices. David’s signature song back those years was No More Night from his first solo album which he did while still with the GVB. Gloria is Bill’s wife. Together, Bill and Gloria have written well over thousand songs for the Christian music genre in general. Some of the ones you may have heard of are, He Touched Me, There’s Something About That Name, Because He Lives.

This song gives me chills, the way Michael sings it is amazing. You know I have heard it asked , who will be the first person in heaven you want to meet. For most it’s a family member and I get that. However I want to meet Jesus first, I want to kneel at his feet and thank him for Cavalry and thank him for my family and all his many blessings. Then I want to meet my family.

I hate that Gold City lowered their standards in the mid 90s and started this. They were the class of Gospel Music in the 80s and early 90s. That’s not singing. It’s screaming in falsetto.
