The "agh" in this opening sound haunting as hell!!! Shits sounds much grittier and raw. The All mighty Alice in Chains definitely took the crown for raw sinister side of grunge. Always felt they were thr under belly, darker side
Damn man this is just such a kick ass jam dude it makes you feel a fire inside it’s great when music can give you the chills this is a fighting song for sure thanks for the upload 😮❤
Not necessarily. This version of the solo was a bit sloppy and lacking direction. If it wasn't, Jerry wouldn't have re-worked it for the official release.
No idea how but my dad had these demos on a recordable cassette back in the early 90s and these are the versions I remember hearing more. I absolutely adore Dirt but these ‘rough cuts’ are insanely heavy
Damn, this is better than the album version! The original is way too polished, the rawness in this version is way more powerful. The vocals sound more massive and the guitar solo is way better. Why in the hell did they change that?!
They wanted to make it sound more polished, I'm honestly glad they did it the way they did. I think the rawer sound worked better for the second self titled
Right hook so strong You like his hair you sing along With every word, he's M, he's B He's so H, but over C When your life comes crashing Here comes love Watch him coy and dashing He comes love Left hook so weak He shocks you when he speaks He's everywhere he's M, he's B He's so H, but over C When your life comes crashing Here comes love Watch him coy and dashing Here comes love Dirty bitch, the messiah Scratch your itch, drug pariah Pink prick, extra blunt Gold plated, stunning cunt Heart thief, dark soul Sucks you dry, eats you whole Last hook can't dispute I like to curse, he likes to shoot :pause: At everyone He's M, he's B He's so H, but over C When your life turns fashion Here comes love You watch the people cash in Here comes love He leaves you tired and scratching There goes love Gorgeous prick he's smashing
Studio version is way better. The intro is harder due to the extra guitars and waiting for the intro solo to kick in until the 4th bar. The main solo also is way better in the studio version. Very cool to see a recording like this and to see how the song evolved from this version to the studio version. Great songwriters and always looking to improve.
there's an AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-EEAAAAAA that he sings in the live 1996 version, awesome.
Best version!
It's a common misconception that the "AH's" were a random thing Layne did on the spot when recording the album version. However, this proves otherwise
How he says “bones” 0:35 😩
i have no idea what the meaning of this song is but i love this so much and i love this band
the way he harmonizes with himself at the end is the best part and IMO is better than the album version
03:05
So awesome! Very Facelift sounding.
Fuck yeah! AIC all day 🔥
The guitar solo is way more superior on this track.
I imagine this is what you hear when you enter a night club in HELL
The faint ahhh is better
Damn ..this shit is scary. Better than the album. I didnt think that was possible...
HOLY F- WHERE TF DID THIS COME FROM?! My inner 8th grader is fucking SCREAM CRYING...!!! <3
HEAVY ☠️☠️
Espectacular
The "agh" in this opening sound haunting as hell!!! Shits sounds much grittier and raw. The All mighty Alice in Chains definitely took the crown for raw sinister side of grunge. Always felt they were thr under belly, darker side
Damn right.... Couldn't have said it better myself!!!! 🤜🤛💯
I love that ending
The anguish is palpable. I can feel the suffering within and I like it
Damn man this is just such a kick ass jam dude it makes you feel a fire inside it’s great when music can give you the chills this is a fighting song for sure thanks for the upload 😮❤
like everyone already said, this demo is way fucking heavier.. the ending gave me fucking goosebumps
🎵🎵🎶🎶🎸🎸🍻✨✨✨✨👍
SUBBED 🤜💥💥💥💥
outro better the orginal version
Sound like drop B.
It’s drop C# but tuned down about 40 cents
This is the closest thing to music I wanna create
Cantrell's solo here should have been on the official release.
Not necessarily. This version of the solo was a bit sloppy and lacking direction. If it wasn't, Jerry wouldn't have re-worked it for the official release.
Absolutely not
Yeah I prefer this too
No idea how but my dad had these demos on a recordable cassette back in the early 90s and these are the versions I remember hearing more. I absolutely adore Dirt but these ‘rough cuts’ are insanely heavy
Best damn demos I've ever heard!🤔
Ahhhhhhhhh Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Would love to have this demo album the tone and extra kicks on guitar amazing
I love the echoey harmony on the last “them bones”, sounds so cool
Sounds similar to Smoke the sky from Motley Crue
To cool, wish i was in this band. At least it exists
i love that photo
Damn, this is better than the album version! The original is way too polished, the rawness in this version is way more powerful. The vocals sound more massive and the guitar solo is way better. Why in the hell did they change that?!
This is the original. This was recorded before the album version.
They wanted to make it sound more polished, I'm honestly glad they did it the way they did. I think the rawer sound worked better for the second self titled
Vocals are too loud IMO
@@rowanmelton7643thatd be a mixing issue, not a recording quality issue.
Cool
This is sludge at its best
Pretty pro sounding for a demo. I love this stuff!
I wonder why did they remove that high octave backing vocal? The shit hits like truck man
i think thats layne..and wouldnt be playable live
Probably so they can get Jerry's vocals in noticeably.
Wtf that shit is lit
Brutal
Awesome to hear this! My go-to with Type O when ish gets bad.
God damn … that guitar solo 🤘🤘🤘🤘
This is fucking pure art
The solo
Oh how I love the fat on this one!
Like the demo better. Love all aic songs but this demo is sick!
Studio version is way better. The intro is harder due to the extra guitars and waiting for the intro solo to kick in until the 4th bar. The main solo also is way better in the studio version. Very cool to see a recording like this and to see how the song evolved from this version to the studio version. Great songwriters and always looking to improve.
vocals are on point here but they are better placed on studio version idk how to explain it! but it rocks
Love the base ....
