I agree on the statement that Tyler is unsure if he wants to stay that old Tea since he keeps restating that old version of him is dead BUT he still acts funky in some of his tracks. At the end of the day Tyler is pretty unsure of himself and I think he's only beginning to find who he really is.

I feel like this argument lacks a closing statement. Is it just that you think Tyler shouldn’t be famous because he changed his style? If so, then Post Malone, Taylor Swift, MGK, and many others should be ridiculed also. Artists change. If it’s about the stuff he said in the past, it is VERY clear that not one word of what he said was serious. As a gay woman, I love the goblin album. I have never once felt offended by Tyler, because he does not actually do the things he rapped about. I get it if YOU may be offended, and it seems you are, but you do not speak for everyone. He’s said it himself that he did it for shock value and nothing else. He’s recognized his old self and doesn’t overcompensate to redeem himself-he proves in other ways that he isn’t those things. Maybe it’s time that we focus on the celebrities and even real world people that are doing horrible things. Tyler the Creator should not be under fire, and he has earned every bit of his fame.

The album is not really anything, the only interesting thing is that it has to be listened to in a certain order. The album does not have a single hit that will be remembered in 10, 20 years like Not Afraid, Beautiful, When I’m Gone, Mockingbird, Love the Way You Lie, Rap God, My Name Is, The Way I Am, Till I Collapse, Cleanin’ Out My Closet, The Real Slim Shady, Stan, Lose Yourself and the like, Eminem simply can’t write songs like that anymore, he can only “shock” with his lyrics, beats and production are not up to par, you can see that Dr. Dre is missing, the rest of the album is just chewing on the chewed-up. The man had 4 full years to make the album and we get this. When I remember that he made Recovery in a year, that says something. Furthermore, it’s really not interesting to listen to a 51-year-old man rapping about children’s things anymore. There’s even one song recorded in 2004 where he harasses a dead person, with what purpose? Ok, no one can deny that he is technically the best rapper in the world, far from the rest, but since MMLP2 we only hear in his songs that he is the best, i.e. he only praises himself, there are no new themes or inspirations. Even the best songs on the album like Temporary and Somebody Save Me are actually in some way remixes of the songs When im gone and Mockinbird, just like Evil reminds me of Brainless or the most obvious example Houdini which is actually a pure copy of The real Slim Shady and Without me, so nothing new or meaningful, we have already seen and heard all this from him. And who in their right mind can tell me that this album is better than Slim Shady LP or than MMLP, TES, Recovery, MMLP2.And that's what die hard Stan tells you.

I dont really understand what your point is to be honest. It seems to be "Tyler said some controversial stuff when he was a teenager so now the idea he's making something different and more introspective is hypocritical" but this misses out the fact that tyler has been making more introspective music since flowerboy and arguably since wolf. Also the stuff you say at the end screams that you don't listen to much hip-hop. There is much less jazz influenced rap than there used to be and there is much less introspective rap than there used to be especially in the mainstream. Also Tyler isnt just sampling shit (though he is a master of that) he also arranges and plays a fuck tonne of the instrumental sections within his work and this all feels a little patronising coming from a white (at least passing) person. It also misses out the fact that between the things you talk about and this album tyler came out as bi-sexual and moved to a much more progressive place both inside and outside of his music with arguably his most successful album Igor being a key piece of modern, queer music. I think your heart's in the right place but you're much more alligned with the old, conservative white people who banned tyler from the UK in the 2010's than the groups you're trying to defend. Ironically enough, I think this video lacks a huge amount of nuisance needed to ground the point you're trying to make.

This is a good video, although i dislike it. This video feels like its 98% about random things that don't have anything to do with him and 2% talking about his wrong doing. I feel like you should put your mindset where he was back in 2011 when he was talking about 🍇. In 2011 he was much much younger than he was today and i feel that you should also understand this as an adult. This video also feels like a rant from somebody who hasn't listened to a single album from tyler other than chromakopia.

I appreciate you taking the effort to make this video and share your opinion and it sucks that people will have such a bad reaction to your thoughts. I do have to disagree though… I think looking at his whole discography it’s apparent that this is someone trying to make sense of all the bad things that has happened to him and trying to make light in a less than ideal way mind you but still trying. I believe this in a way has value artistically and should be challenged for sure but to minimize his recent projects and growth over the past almost decade as of writing this, feels a little bad faith and a lack of understanding. That being said slurs and insults like those in his first few projects is unsavory and not a good look but I appreciate his honesty about changing his ways and becoming a more open minded person.
