Hurricane Helene left devastation in our area resulting in many chicken houses to collapse as well as collapsing the poultry industry. Local polutry farmer was burning dead chickens when his fire got away and burned into the nearby woods. Luckily, the weather was in my favor and I was able to stop this wildfire from spreading into more woods with blown down timber. #wildfire #hurricanehelene #w...

Dry conditions create hazardous situations when lightning comes into an area. Luckily, rain was behind these several lightning strikes, helping douse the flames before they could get away. There was GREAT potential for these to spread into major wildfires. The biggest wildfire grew to at least 34 /- acres in the matter of less than half of an hour to hour. #wildfire #wildlandfirefighter #georgi...

Wildfire ignited in dry conditions along a railroad track. Timber company assisted us with catching this wildfire. Burnt around 38 acres in a mix of flat pond and pine plantation. Was still wet deep in the soil in the flat pond. Everyone learned something that day and all arrived back home safely. #wildlandfirefighter #wildfire #georgia #forestry #firedozer #dozer

One if the most underrated channels on TH-cam. Cheers brother! Keep them coming.
Always fascinating how on the national scale high egg prices are being blamed on Biden and Democrats but we have a great video of massive devastation left by a natural disaster. Shout out to those who voted Republican in the last election, only gets worse from here folks. Best of luck!
I bet dealing with all the downed trees made that twice as hard to get around it
Good to see you out there still getting after it. This year is shaping up to be a busy one for the Southeastern Compact.
Man what a wild perspective! Wish I had one of them headsets vr thingys!
Glad to see you back at it again. Make a short post if they ship you to LA so that we can pray for you and everyone's safety. What type of camera are using? Stay Safe.
Man I love to watch you and listen to tha big D work..
Looks like Ga. because of all the brush.
I missed watching your videos, glad to see you’re back

welcome back glad to see that your still about
Glad your back!
That's pretty awesome and scary at the same time.
Hello I am from CA. Most the dozers I see use a blade. I see you guys use a plow. I know nothing, can you explain the difference? you don't seem to have much problem pushing trees and brush out of your way. Out west I see them fighting all the time to push things out of the way.
@sindeecharlton8857 We directly fight fire with dozers here. Generally, with our fuel type (southern rough), we use a fire plow to get through the thicker root mat we have here to get to bare mineral soil. We use the v blade on the front to kick us away from stumps so we can keep pushing forward (not dropping it all the way to the ground). Once we get done with the plow, we turn around, lift up the plow, then drop our v blade to push out the plowed line to make it wider. We do use straight blade and lift plows from middle to North Georgia due to the terrain type. They are typically smaller dozers as well.
I love how the other guys start looking at you like ohh man look how fancy I wish I had his tent so I wouldn’t have to take thirty minutes to set mine up lol
@CadenNelson-xc5yj 🤣 I told them. We move so much..it's best to get one you can deploy quick and pack up quick.
I couldn't do that job. I'd look at the cab of that dozer and think, "No, that looks too much like an airfryer basket."
@@MrTravis789 It can get warm, but it's the best job ever. 😆
Completely normal extremely dangerous days, it seems like second nature after so many yrs of experience lol ahha, thank you so much
Sry for the year late comment but I just stumbled across your older vids and this wonderful lil dozer. But I been curious, do yall ever get like those huge dozers? Used to make roads and construction kinda deal. I feel with some modifying like a new blade you could have a dozer that can make a huge fire break in record time. All while nothing could possibly stop it.
Hard work bad on equipment
It can be!
Fought fire on a fed handcrew and some engines this summer. You dozer guys put some serious work in, got us out of a few rough spots for sure!
It helps. I go out on a handcrew every year and do get glad when we get to a dozer line...unless we have to rehab it. 😂
@@Wildland_Firefighter Hey dozer rehab beats sitting in the truck!
@fugg3543 Thats true. Lol. As long as the hours are good.
@@Wildland_Firefighter yessir!
Great to see y’all running good and trying to stay safe as you can. I used to work on several of those dozers in your area, I was a field mechanic with Yancey bros and Carlton co.

You have a lot of bad people over in America & Canada that are starting these fires every year. These people need to be caught !
Yeah, we have arsonist from time to time.
Thats Pretty cool to see.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
You need to see what we do in Australia that's not much of a fire
@@kirstenburns2657 Oh, we get bigger fires here. This wasn't much for sure, but it was going that way
Gotta love the TH-cam algorithm! I commend you sir not only are you doing good by humanity you’re probably living your dream job! Keep up the good fight!🫡
Thanks, buddy! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
this is what i want my taxes to pay for,
Damn straight
Live action viewing to keep the taxpayers happy. 😎
ive never seen a "fire dozer" before, and a quick google just shows me normal style blades but yours appears to be equiped with more of a plow like blade which i would assume is alot better at shifting scrub and not dirt? either way very cool to watch
We use v-blades here because it kicks us off stumps and trees so we can keep moving. I have a flat nose on my v-blade to help push trees over.
Keep up the amazing work bro 💪. I use to work for Cal-fire. Then bought my own dozer and contracted for US Forest Serv. Operating in OR, WA,ID,UT&WY. People don't know how much stress there is running a dozer in the mountains, i started with a D6N then a cat527 then a JD 750k Now I have a JD 750L turned up to 300hp. I choose JD for it's low center of gravity and it's space in the cab. welded cleats on the pads for a better bite and reduce side slippage. The pucker factor on the side of a mountain is unexplainable, fear and exhilarating at the same time. Rock's and the worst especially pushing uphill, when the track hits a rock and spin's out it's an uneasy feeling.
I was a wildland fire dozer operator here in East KY for 10 years. Started right out of H.S. Man do I miss it everyday! Good times, and great experiences. Especially traveling out west! It’s pretty neat watching you punch line in. I’m guessing ya’ll run rear mounted plows? Here, it’s WAY too heavily wooded, rocky, and steep. Plows are useless, so we’re strictly using the front blade(6 way). Started on a John Deere 350c, then a couple years later, 2009, I got a brand new JD-550J. Fully enclosed cab with a forestry package. It was like a Cadillac! I believe I miss the dozer just as bad as I do the job!
It's a fun job you know. We have thick woods here, but lots of pine plantations. I am using a rear 4 disc fire plow on wheels. We use stinger plows and small dozers like yall up in Middle and North Georgia.
There's a job that gets in the blood, i ran dozer for Cal-fire then I contracted my own dozer for the states of OR,WA,NV,ID. For 6 years my first firedozer was a D6N, my second was a Cat 527 with a grapple, my last one that I still have is a JD 750k by far my favorite of the 3. Less maintenance, more agility, better visibility and way easier to fireproof the components. Hose's and such. I see you running an open cab, that would suck in denser smokey areas when the air's heavy. I sure like me some fresh air filtration. It's probably not an issue down there, but here that smoke clings to the hillside and will suffocate you in no time. Maybe next season I'll get back into it if they raise the price.
where's anjolina jolie? she did this in a movie? show me da KNOCKERS!!!
"did the fire look at you?" ..
Im Just wondering have you guy's ever thought of trying to squash the fire if its small and not to powerful
