I hear this all the time. I live in FLW LOVE hearing it! My husband has been in for 7 years. At 32 years old with twins and from a different country I’m shipping out next year! This WILL be me! :)
I was at Fort Jackson in 1993 , I had Drill Sargeant Spradling, Drill Sargeant Heap, And Drill Sargeant Medina , those were good times Echo 2 -39, I would like to thank everyone who served no matter what company , best experience ever
This brings back so many wonderful memories my Dad was an officer in the Army and we'd go to the parades and the cadence they did while practicing made me proud to be an ARMY BRAT
By the time I was done with AIT I just felt like a cheer leader calling cadence. We were Alpha company cobras it was so embarrassing I can’t explain it through this comment but when they called us to attention we had to make a cobra by putting our elbow on our hand And going TSSSS with a striking motion like a cobra The melody of the cadence went from warrior battle cries to ... These soft melodies
1989 fort jackson
How I miss the trailer park that my battalion lived in 😢
my grandfather was in the army and his favorite thing they did was the cadences
Their marching is so bad!

Memories from this old timer D-8-4 Ranger Fort Knox KY 1974 You never forget trust me.
When I served I would have the drill Sargent ask me how I was able to walk with my hands behind my back the way he is. Times have sure changed. Haha
I was stationed in the Trailer Parks by the Water Tower
That’s cool, I was Company A 3-34th, 165th Infantry Brigade
I was Company A 3rd Battalion 34th Infantry Regiment 165th Infantry Brigade, right by Victory Starts Here Water Tower
Would rather have 10 of these men then a whole division of NK soldiers.

Great cadence. One thing, there are a couple of soldiers who were out of step. I guess there has to be one in every bunch.
They were probably the problem solving skilled soldiers in permanent party
