Long wire antenna 21m long 1:9 transformer with FT-710 , Heathkit Amp about 100w to 300w and Vibroplex blue racer. In fact i do not need amplifier but using it for testing since i am not using a lot this amp especially on 40m. I should go more often on 40m band for sure.

Very nice. 👍What are you using, microcontroller? ESP32, Arduino? Any code or project blog for this build?
@@QXZASX for CW i am using a homebrew CW keyer based on K3NG design. Mine is using an Arduino Nano . You can find details here : github.com/k3ng/k3ng_cw_keyer
I am using a homebrew K3NG CW keyer which is able to provide the sidetone .
How to listen cw side tone ?
Thanks, I'll test it. I like uSDX.
I have been hearing about LMR SDR during discussions among homebrewers for the past few days on 40m. Thought of learning a bit about it and my web searches brought me here. 73 Jon, VU2JO
Do you have an SKCC #? I really enjoy your videos and I’ve begun to operate with a bug. Would be great to get a bug to bug QSO with you. 73 de KI7QCF
Yes i have a SKCC No 26893. i need to join a SKCC planned nets but i have son many things to do. The BUG is really unique , i love it . hopefully soon we can QSO together with your bug
I hear a click you must be running an amp to bust though the weak signals and pile ups if 100 watts wouldn’t cut it or you got a stacked array.
During this session i think i was using my heathkit SB-200 or my homebrew amplifier with about 250w for the homebrew and up to 400w with the heathkit amplifier . The click you hear is both the amplifier relay and the foot switch which is also very noisy .
merci à f5npv pour la video ( f4lan )
You sound like you have so much fun
Beautiful work
Here in ON also very beautifull signals from PX0FF. Great DX-pedition. Hope to work you some day, still need V8. 73 de OO4M
Thank you for the video. I am going to give it a try on my antennas. K1QS.
Cool bug. Do you prefer it over the Vibroplex ?
Not really, i like both but the GHD is much easier to tune with no scratch on the DIT . After for the keying i like both

Amazing!
you can find a presentation here th-cam.com/video/yfj7zicbvuA/w-d-xo.html Some new release but more or less this is pretty much the same TRX
Fantastic show us the homebrew gear
you can find details here : f5npv.wordpress.com/homebrew-sdr-trx/
Why dont you use the homebrew radio anymore?
Hello , i am still using my homebrew radio for SSB . But yes you are right i need to come back on my homebrew TRX for CW . In fact since the FT-710 is a new toy in the shack , i enjoy also using it (A nice TRX for sure)
FB QSO! I need QSO with you. 73 de Mario PT9DX/PY4FQ

Salut DJ! Many thanks for ATNO contact on 20M 18/08/24.. Kev, M0TNX
Thanks for the video. I've been thinking about purchasing the FT-710. Looks like it works great for contests! 73 de WA3RSL
@@frankENZC it is a nice tiny TRX . Like it and use it mostly for CW since it has nice DSP filters. It really worth the cost .
Very clear description, thank you!
This a customized software dedicated for homebrew SDR transceivers . The TRX firmware is homebrew
What software is that are you using?
A demo of making the balun would be nice. Tnx. de ON8EI
Hello, i am planning by today or tomorrow a video for the balun build
Lovely as always. You do a great job. de ON8EI
Really excellent, you make it very understandable. Tnx as always. The DX Commander likes it, it must be good. 73's de ON8EI.
Thanks for picking me up. de ON8EI
Your antenna seems to be working very well, thanks for sharing. 73 M3VWN
SOme GOOD tips. Thank you.. I am about to build a cubical quad myself.. 73.
Looking forward to hearing you. de ON8EI
I hope to catch you on Air while you are in Brunei.

How do you do CW with this setup?
i am using a FTDI USB Dongle, more details here (at the bottom of the web page) f5npv.wordpress.com/homebrew-sdr-trx/
il will do a video today to explain .
Which version of SDR?
Not sure about what you are asking. This is homebrew TRX , no Version
@@f5npv-v85npvamateurradio3 is it LMR SDR ?
how do you keep the (tr) uSDX from over amping the PA50... how do you lower power on the (tr) uSDX?
i just go use the bias menu and reduce it (max biasing).
@@f5npv-v85npvamateurradio3 - is that menu 8.2 PA Bias max?
Dear Didier, thank you very much for QSO!. I'll be glad to meet you again at the BUG! 73 es 55!!
Very Good best 73 SV8ANW
hello, I have a long wire around 20/30 m and the (tr)usdx QRP, plus of my FT818ND (I ever have the tuner LDG Z-817 for yaesu). However, seeing your good video, I would like to by the ATU-100 for the (tr)usdx. Is the unun 9:1 necessary or without unun the tuner direct to long wire work well? thanks by advance. 73/88 Fab.
The ATU shall be located outside the shack close to the antenna. Therefore i never try the ATU100 with such configuration. you will need to try
Hi Didier, have you tested keying the Hermes remotely over the internet? I'm looking for a solution to remotely key my rig that is located in another town but for the love of god, I cannot find a solution for that. Even the FlexRadios seem not to be able to do this (in theory yes, but in practice there is too much latency and the remote cw functionality seems to be poorly implemented)... 73! Simon
Will you do a video showing equipment please?
for this QSO , was using a Hermes Lite 2 with a Homebrew tube amplifier. The Transceiver is a kind of black box and nothing special from the front panel since everyting is on the computer screen

Hello Didier; Thank you very much for the video. I'm very happy for the contact I hadn't had yet with Brunei Darussalam, it was an honor. My antenna was pointed at about 30° towards Europe and there was still 103° more or less to direct at your station. The tests between Hexbean and Vertical are very interesting, congratulations. I hope to meet you again Didier. All the best, good Dx's... 73 Danilo PY2XL
So happy to read you here. I was long path with Brasil (Short path signals were very poor). Great Amateur Radio QSO very far from 599 TU and this is the way to go . Take care Dan and C U very soon on the air. Best 73s Didier
Here it was dawning, the sun was right on the horizon, it was 6:09 am local time. Take care... See you soon Didier. 73 Danilo
Effectivement tres bon Bug. Le plus difficile étant son / ses réglages, Surtout lorsque l'on se lance à la CW - C'est mon cas. 73's à vous
how long is your long wire antenna?
30 meters long with 1:9 transformer

Could you help me you uBitx Calibration for Nextion
But the Nextion does not need any calibration. I think you need to go to the Ubitx google group and even in youtube you can find a lot of information regarding the ubitx calibration
