Sceptile is the best!
the only thing i think needs a touch up is the Leaf Storm projectile itself. it reminds me of things Sakurai mentioned in his own time pointing out effect corrections during Ultimate's development for better visual clarity and presentation. it could use being a darker color so its color will stand out against brighter backgrounds like this OR have a contrasting darker green mixed in with the present effect so it cant be see regardless of background brightness. that OR have more leaf particles around it as that could help be a darker contrasting color. but it should probably have a few more visible leaf particles than it does. i mean you hear "Leaf Storm" you would imagine a lot more leaves swirling about. the little explode effect it does at the end could probably do with a randomized particle effect for the leaves and double the amount that appear. but hey, for all i know the devs of this mod will update it down the line in general and touch it up a bit. otherwise, everything else visually looks so nice and clean.

Oh neat, you referenced the move names I gave to Sceptile. However, there's some mistakes here and there. I'll list them below. Neutral Air: The "Multi-Limb Strike" was used for an older version of Neutral Air that had Sceptile strike with its tail then its legs (it was based off a similar-looking move from Pokken). With the move being changed to its current state, it's been renamed to "Tail Spin". Up Air: The move is incorrectly named "Leaf Blade" when it should be "Double Blade Swipe". Down Air: While not wrong, the proper name for this move is "Aerial Bouncing Kick". Dash Attack: Also not wrong, but the proper name is "Bouncing Slide Kick". Up Smash: Also not wrong, but the proper name is simply "Double Hit". Everything else is spot on, so good work on that.
With REX confirming Incineroar and Pikachu Libre along with Sceptile most likely getting in. The first version of REX is set to have a good amount of new Pokémon especially if that Greninja PSA you showcased on your channel before ends up making it too, although I know Greninja is way more unlikely then Sceptile but it's fun to think about.

Sceptile is one of my favorite grass type Pokemons i hope soon i get this game and my Yoshi and Sceptile will get along
I hate his stance lol, why is he never upright? it doesn't look like sceptile at all with his head tilted so far down all the time. in all its official art and sprites it's either looking straight ahead or even in a tall pose looking down on you. this one here is just looking straight at the ground when walking and crouching. and with his eye texture always looking in the direction of its "beak", the eyes themselves are always pointed at the ground.
Like if you think Smash needs more black characters like Black Shadow. Ignore if you're racist.
I wish they spent more time making him different from cloud. Also I want him summoning Bahamut to use mega flare as the his final smash.

Perfection! About time there was a Grass type starter Pokémon in “Smash Bros”. And if they added a Pokémon from “Scarlet and Violet”, chances are it’d be either Tinkaton, Koraidon, Skelidirge or Armourogue.

@@whyIeo While Snake himself can't pick it up, an opponent can, but will immediately throw it upon picking up the box.

The voice used in the Sceptile mod was directly taken from Pokken. It's definitely up to the preferences of the individual. However, an alternate voice pack is in the works which aims to mimic the voice featured in the anime.

it is a high quality Sceptile mod however KJP was going to make a form changing Deoxys and I think it would’ve been more interesting and fun
@@protocetid Yes, this is true. However, Brawl's limitations (specifically file size) prevented me from fulfilling my initial design for Deoxys, so I had to downsize my plans for it, making its forms more of an aesthetic thing, rather than a complete form change. However, this can change if modding advancements end up doing away with this restriction.
@@KingJigglypuff The king has spoken! (Funny how two of the masters of Smash modding have aptly named themselves kings.) You wanted to give each Deoxys form its own moveset?? What if each form changed Deoxys’ stats like Shulk’s Monado Arts, would make the mod a lot more feasible no? It’s what I thought you were going to do, and I think most people would be fine with that. To be honest a Deoxys mod where each transformation has at least some unique moves is tantalizing, however it’s probably better to go with simple stat changes to not expend too much time and energy on a single character. It’s your call obviously. Bummer, there wasn’t a proto Sceptile or Deoxys (well there is one but it’s pretty similar to final) design in the newest leaks to serve as a cool costume. While we are still talking about Pokémon, I liked that you almost made the old PM suggestion for a IC clone using Plusle and Minun. I’m partially attached to that idea for some reason, maybe it’s R/S/E nostalgia, and the character duo system is wasted on a single fighter.
@@protocetid Deoxys' form changes would require their own animation sets (in Brawl, transforming characters share the same memory resource, which would fill up quickly by having to split it between 4 characters), which isn't something Shulk has to worry about for his Monado Arts. Though I'll figure it out as time goes by, as I have quite a few other characters to work on before I even touch Deoxys.
@@KingJigglypuff The forms have a pretty similar body plan, don’t see why they couldn’t share animations if they all have the same moves. Defense form does look more stiff I guess, let’s just strip it of every action except using the shield lol. The drawback of giving them all the same animations would mean very limited use of the individual form’s unique physical traits, speed only has one tentacle on each side so no multi tentacle attacks for the rest of the forms. Normal Deoxys is the only one that can turn the tentacles into hands, oof and I was considering suggesting not including Normal Deoxys if that would help with the technical limitations. Omitting Deoxys Speed isn’t unreasonable if it’s just going to be the identical but faster and if its exclusion would make Deoxys in Smash possible. One way to differentiate them more if they share a moveset is changing not just their stats but also the size and color(?) of the moves. For example, Deoxys Attack could have larger attacks and maybe range simply by changing some values of the shared animations and particle effects. Deoxys Defense probably does need its own animations sigh, or you risk making the rest of the forms too stiff. I’m sure you’ve already thought about most, if not all, of what I’ve just said. It’s just fun to think about and discuss.
