This was the last song The Band played at "The Last Waltz" and the first song director Martin Scorcese featured in his concert film. Such a wonderful reinvention of the Holland/Dozier/Holland song first recorded by Marvin Gaye. Your performance is a stellar tribute.

Thanksgiving is a good time to thank you all for playing The Band's music as well as you do. I was a freshman at Defiance College in Ohio when we gathered in front of the dorm lounge TV in November of 1969 and watched The Band perform "Up On Cripple Creek" on "The Ed Sullivan Show." Garth Hudson pretty much introduced U.S. music fans to the funky sound of the clavinet that night, nearly 3 years before Stevie Wonder made the sound famous again on "Superstition."

Vocals don't seem to match the lips. Maybe the vocal was recorded later?

First, thank you for keeping this great music alive. If you are a fan of Americana music like "The Band," this tribute band rocks. They are appropriately named "The THE BAND Band." We saw them last night in Sellersville Pa and were blown away! Their show was amazing!! They played two sets and chose a variety of The Band's classic and some rare songs. They sounded just like the original unique songs. I'm a big fan. The THE BAND Band are all professional musicians, and I loved hearing "Jawbone, " "This Wheel's On Fire," "Look Out Cleveland," as well as "The Weight," "The Night they Drove Ole Dixie Down," "It Makes No Difference, " "The Shape I'm In," and on and on. Every song they nailed and they rocked the house!

I saw The Band band 06/14/24 at The Kate in Old Saybrook, CT. I was in the area and I thought I’d check it out. This was a great tribute to the The Band by some very talented musicians. See them if you can!

This tune is so filled with soul; you can feel the pain in the lyrics. This is a great Band band! Love these guys
