I worked here and it was not a good time. Good concept but failed execution. Their Glassdoor reviews might give you a better picture, from the techs in the lab to the scientists working on building the infrastructure. Companies have to spend $$$ just to "test the waters" of what is able to be run through Emerald Cloud Labs because of the unreliability of the data. ECL is good for some basic routine screen, but anything involving any critical thinking or skill in part of the techs is doomed. They have Amazon warehouse workers using pipettes nowadays... When I was here I'd see techs not know how to use a pipette, randomly lose samples, fail to keep things on ice, and even their internal infrastructure of computation is a tedious and slow mess. Phenomenal marketing that they're able to sustain so long, but terrible execution. Founders were in the lab twice a year... Despite its selling point being a grassroots execution-up based lab. Good luck.

Lots of real gems dropped through the whole conversation. Marked and noted a few related to the ecosystem need within the corporation. 18:30 - So when people ask "...but Alex people are the most important." Well yes. but it's the wrong framing because people without the infrastructure, without the ecosystem, without the organizational design go nowhere. So today I think most corporations, they have the talent, they have the ideas, but they're not unleashing that talent because they didn't put up the structure so it's AND. It's not people or structure. It's AND! 40:00 - The winning teams. And the winning ideas will emerge. It is like evolution. So, I'm not a big believer in picking the people who are going to, it's like you know, it's like a planned economy. Didn't really work out that way. So I believe in creating that ecosystem. So winning teams and winning ideas can emerge.
