Jimi Hendrix - Little Wing (cover + solo)
Revisiting this song after a few months, and decided to do a cover of the entire song start to finish. It's a fun song to play, but it's difficult to make it sound perfect haha. Think I'm done with this one for awhile.

Reuploading a cover of Maggot Brain. Apologizes for anyone who is seeing this a second time, but rewatching the cover from a coupe days ago, it was absolutely terrible and hardly a cover. I know this one isn't much better, but at least I'm in time for the first half of the song, and the phrasing is more Maggot Brain-like. Also LOL at the jump cut at the end, but I completely screwed up and didn...

My amateur take on Slow Dancing In a Burning Room. Fun song to play! It's winter so it's very cold in our basement right now, so sorry for being gross and wiping my nose on camera lol I used a G&L S500 with a bluesbreaker style OD, an analog delay slapback, and a spring reverb. Played through a Fender Princeton amp.

Guitar cover of Say It Ain't So by Weezer. Sort of an abridge version since there's a bunch of different guitar tracks playing on the original song. Surprisingly annoying song to record a clean play through because of that second chorus with the two different guitar parts playing at once.

Played a Telecaster on the neck pickup through a Fender Princeton Reverb. Sorry for the poor editing/playing, I don't really make videos like this. I shot this in one sitting and wanted to do it quickly. Just did this for my own future reference of what the pedals sound like..

Good job you definitely have the sound and the tone and the way you shake the strings like Eddie great job buddy what kind of delay thing are you using that sounds like an actual echoplex
Thanks man! I was using a Boss DD-200, it has an Echoplex setting on it and you can simulate multiple tape heads on that setting. I think I had it on the setting 3 different tape heads. It’s a really cool sound. I think that’s how they mixed the original Maggot Brain song on certain parts, so I was trying to get as close to that as I could
@@Basement_Guitarist yes I have the carbon copy by mxr but I really want to step up and get one they call the echoplex I think it's by Dunlap it's a black box and then I want to get a pedal that sounds like a rotary speaker
@@johnnyscozmicshipshowRobbins Tape delays like the Echoplex are awesome, I think they’re my favorite delay type. Rotary effect is awesome too, I think there’s some good options out there for that from Boss, Strymon, and some other brands I’m forgetting.

I see I think I will have to go to the guitar center that has a few different kinds and try them out in person definitely could not afford the original echoplex with the tape inside they're like $2,000 and more 🙄

Also LOL at the jump cut at the end, but I completely screwed up and didn't' want to subject anyone to that I decided to listen closely to Maggot Brain again, looked at some tabs, and realized my interpretation of Maggot Brain had completely morphed into something else lol. This is overall a good experience for me though. Maggot Brain was one of the first truly difficult songs I learned as a beginner, and now revisiting the song it's clear that I've improved a bit, so overall it was fun revisiting this song. Still have a lot of work to do before I can play a perfect cover though!

Played all the riffs with a telecaster neck pickup into a Princeton Reverb. Sorry for the messy editing if anyone ends up watching this. This is just one chopped up long recording, and volume was constantly being changed due to the pedals. These are all really great pedals though, even the DemonFX is a great BluesBreaker style OD, but I would recommend the DemonFX KoT clone over their PoT.
Why recomended the KOT clone instead of the POT clone?
