Most people say that Manly manga comes from Jojo's bizarre adventure and Berserk. They ignore the fact that Fist of the North Star is the pioneer of all Manly Manga.
100% was a game changer for sure!
Fantastic review always great artwork from Jim Lee. Can you review Absolute Sinestro Corps War as well
I would love to see Spiderman vs Kraven the Hunter and Scorpion in Comic.
Amazing hardcover omnibus collection. I can't personally can't justify buying them no matter how nice they look and not because of price but rather when ti comes to actually reading them. I like to sit back or lay down and read. Can't do that with these heavy hardcover omnibus editions. I've given away my some hardcover omnibuses that I had because I couldn't comfortably read them and opted for trade paperback versions. Again this is just me. :D
Thanks for the comment! Trade paperbacks definitely have that advantage of being able to be read almost anywhere comfortably which is always quite nice.
always an immediate watch, thanks bunches for the vid
Nice haul! 👍
Always excited when I see you drop new stuff man 💪👏
Thanks man that's greatly appreciated! Love your channel, definitely one of my favourite comic book themed channels by far.
@ well I am humbled sir! And great pickups 💪💪
That black mirror and under the hood are so nice
Yeah dude! DC did such a good job on these deluxe editions 🙌
lol this sounds so unhinged…..definitely getting it lol.
Guess who's back, back again! Thanks for the vid!!
Love to see a Batman/Spawn animated film. Great video!
Great haul!

Hahahaha over the course of a couple months it's not a bad amount
Looks like a target sale
Welcome back, I already miss your videos)
Oh what a pity. Do you still have that video? If so, please upload it again. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to your new version. I was asking you this since it was one of my favorites overviews/ reviews on that book. I really loved the way you did it. No kidding,.it was in my playlist and I watched it several times since it was kinda relaxing. Besides, you were the only one who showed the best parts within my two favorites issues contained in that omnibus: X-Men 55 (I love Andy Kubert's sentinels flying in New York) and Cable 35 (I love Ian Churchill's Apocalypse). Usually , everyone skips lots of pages.on those two issues when reviewing them don't know why LMAO. Hope to have news from you soon!
GDay mate good to see ya back around 🤘 I have the DC books but none of the Marvel but the 3 of them are on my omnibus hit list to get. 🔥👍
Welcome back. Sometimes you need to take a break to recharge the battery.
Alright welcome back man! 💪🎉 Great pickups! I really need to read identity crisis 📚
Thanks heaps man! 🙌 I really enjoy Identity Crisis and hope you do as well whenever you get a chance to read it
Please don’t stop making videos, love watching your stuff! Perhaps you can do more reviews on your books
Thanks for the comment and kind words. I've been trying to make some more videos but am struggling to find the time. Hopefully when I have some holidays coming up soon I can do a bulk amount.
@@comicfilth3700 really enjoy your curated collection, I’m new to all this, so it will be very very cool to hear more what books you like and even new books that you have bought. You just earned me as a subscriber and I’ll wait for you for more awesome reviews!!! And have a good day!
And forgot to ask, what website do you order your books?
Apologies for the late reply! I actually buy 90% of my books from my local comic shop Comics Etc here in Brisbane. Been going to them since the late 2000's
Did you say you arent sure who Frazetta is?.... He is one of the most famous comic book artists of all time. Vampirella, Famous Funnies, Weird Science-Fantasy, Creepy, Eerie, Conan, Beware... His cover of Famous Funnies #213 inspired George Lucas to make the character Chewbacca for Star Wars.
You've got amazing Collection there.👍
This was a train wreck however the art by Jim Lee kept you coming back again and again. Fast forward to today and you can see why DC is in the shape it is. Absolutely trash storyline wise but a work of art on Jim Lee’s part. Sad that DC allowed this story by Frank Miller as the art is absolutely stunning. 100% love/hate of All Star Batman and Robin.
I feel as if I came from a different reality, a parallel world, where you have the Direct Market Alan Davis cover Onslaught Omnibus and you overviewed that book better than anyone else on TH-cam but when I wanted to watch that video again I realized it was not you but the you from a different timeline lmfao 😂
Apologies for the late reply! I did do an overview on that book with the Alan Davis cover about 2 years ago but wasn't too happy with how the video came out so I deleted it lol I may have to do another overview on it again 🤔

This looks dope, but it's maybe a little bit too expensive book for me. Maybe cheaper used/dinged copy from ebay someday
Dang, I really missed the boat on this one! It looks neat and I will check it out. Discovering Heavy Metal (Metal Hurlant), and the Underground/Indie comic scene (Slow Death, 2000ad, et la) at a relatively early age prompted me to bypass mainstream stuff, but not always lol. I'm familiar with Frank Miller's version and this graphic novel might change my opinion of who did the better job.
The Rob Liefeld meme aside, it looks like a fun read. Check out MCG Bizarre Adventures vol1 issue 25 Lethal Ladies for a cool Black Widow story and the excellent Paul Gulacy Pen/ink art execution, the rest of the stories are just as cool. He previously helped create the iconic Sabre graphic novel from 1978 and it's worth checking out imho. The MCG Bizarre Adventures magazine was a Marvel anthology series that allowed the in-house artists to create interesting and usually humorous stories that most likely would have been scrapped altogether.
Cheers for the comment and dropping heaps of info! Gulacy is a beast. Love that Masters of Kung-Fu run he did.
A great introduction to Alita's world and the media available for a Neophyte. I discovered the untranslated manga early on and had a heck of a time finding resources to aid me in my quest to understand the deeper stuff. The art, inking, and cool page layouts are outstanding. It's up there with Tsukasa Hojo's famous City Hunter, Cat's Eye, and Angel Heart manga. My favorite Alita images are where she uses her infamously impractical but awesome giant Butterfly sword to great effect and when she is simply playing the harmonica with it strapped to her back.
I missed the boat on the hardcover and am thrilled to snag the softcover version. It took over a decade for this collection to be unleashed on the public and worth picking up if you love excellent art, sleaze, gore, flawed characters, and a crazy plot. Fun fact: it was illegal for comic stores in Alberta, Canada to sell it with fines and potential loss of their business licenses should management be caught with a single issue. In British Columbia, store owners openly sold it alongside Spiderman and mainstream comics of the time.
I remember as a kid here in Australia it was banned from shops as well lol
Hell yea my guy hell of a collection 💪😁
Lol, ironically, I'm finishing up on the Batman Road To No Man's Land Omnibus at this very moment!
Love your videos ❤
Great tour here man! Loved seeing your collection!📚💪 I was actually curious about that thunderbolts uncaged collection good to get some feedback on it
Thanks man! That's greatly appreciated. Always love your videos. It is an interesting book. I loved the first half but it really slowed down towards the end.
@@comicfilth3700 thanks so much! And fantastic feedback thank you
Awesome collection. Im a DC guy more than Marvel so I dont read much Marvel aside from star wars but we have a lot of the same DC omnis. You should check out 100 bullets when you can! Collection of 2 omnis and they’re great!
I'm more of a DC guy as well if it wasn't obvious hahaha. I have been getting into more Marvel but read DC comics throughout the 2000's and 2010's when they were coming out. 100 Bullets is actually on my list to get so hopefully it's in the next collection update video 😁
@@comicfilth3700 question. Out of the DC omnis on your shelf, which one you would say is the best overall? In terms of like best writing/story
@@comicfilth3700it can be a top 3 if you want, i feel like one is hard
I'd go with the JSA's, Green Lantern Geoff Johns omnis and probably Rise and Fall of the Batmen
@@comicfilth3700 love it
Great collection!
Amazing collection, the black panthers would you say that's an okay place to start ?
Thanks mate! The Christopher Priest omnis or trades are definitely a great place to start.
@@comicfilth3700 perfect thank you
🤘🔥🤘☠🤘Now that's a sick arsed collection mate, appreciate the efforts for showing us all
Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed the video 😁
lol I have almost the exact same omnis as you now, I didn't know JL dark rebirth was that huge either wtf, that's crazy, I thought it was short and unfinished, not a massive tome like that.
That means we just have great taste in comics 😎 yeah mate, she is thick!
I love your collection. Very much what I see mine as someday. Right now I am working on finishing my collection of Geoff John’s runs. Quick question, do you suggest getting the Flashpoint omnibus and Blackest Night omnibus if I have the full run of Green Lantern and Flash already?
Thanks man! I'm actually gonna drop an updated collection video real soon haha. Hmmmmmm, with those types of events if you want all the tie ins omnibus are the way to go but if you just want the main story and already have them I'd personally save the money
If you like this I would highly recommend 4 titles, Gantz, Berserk and the manga that inspired a million people DEVILMAN. Go Nigai is amazing and was the precursor to so many of our favourite works! Anyways thanks for sharing you’ve peaked my interest.
I've watched all those series in anime form but have seen the mangas, they look like they go hard. Devilman from the late 80's still holds up. Cheers for the comment!
As a manga collector i would like to get some comic recommendations if you have any I have only read scott pilgrim
🤘🔥☠🤘👍 You Lucky Buggar that is a fricken awesome score there mate 🤘Been trying to get a collected edition of these FAUST comics for awhile now and I see this video and then checked and saw the trade is coming out end of May this year, still fucking awesome but not the HC that you scored, Great Video Mate
That's good that more collections are coming out at least! Cheers for the comment my man. Definitely one of my prized books in the collection that's for sure.
Nice to see you back!!!! Cheers, from Toronto!
Hello 🤗
Always exciting to see you upload man welcome back!
Thanks mate! That's greatly appreciated 😁
Welcome back sir 💪 Dust jacket design is on point 💯
Thanks my man! It's a gorgeous looking book design that's for sure 😁
