Well that was excellent!! I've had a tatting shuttle for 50 years, tried it many times back then, but just stuck with crochet. Now 50 years on i belong to an embroidery group and it looks like we're going to start needle tatting soon, i heard its easier than using a shuttle. Been searching today for someone eho would take absolute beginners through the first steps. There seems to be a couple of approaches to the basic beginning and how to hold the thread and tool. I also read that you have to have specific needles for some stitches, and these needles need to be long thin and the se thickness at the eye, for pulling the needle through all the stitches. Anyway, thankyou for this video, i trying everything, I've always wanted to make lace as i just love it. Thankyou.

i think you just reverse the order of stitches. So it would be over then under for the chain stitches instead of the usual flip, under, over. If that makes sense..

When you are doing the chains are you letting the loop flip? I just started so I can’t tell
For this pattern no need to flip it ,it has totally completed from the front side but some time I flip it for the small ring joints Thanks for asking ☺️💖
