Some videos capturing incidents as I ride through the countryside/commute to work on Honda Forza/Yamaha YBR 125/Kawasaki Z300/Z650. I live in England.
This is not a vlog so I won't be talking on camera much.
Cameras: Contour Roam 3, Drift Ghost HD+external mic.
Video editing:Wondershare video editor (terrible name but very easy to get good looking results).

Probably the best day of riding I will have this year. I get a little out of my comfort zone on some narrow roads and tight corners in the Brecon Beacons.
Twas a cold and blustery day in March

..or never underestimate how cold you will get on a motorbike even when the sun is out.

Some , rather feeble, 0-60 trials and other random stuff. Apologies for the crackly sound.

Just discovered a free upgrade for my video editor so re-loading previous video with better quality. Meandering round some lanes. Sorry about the wind noise, I am investigating.

Just got the same bike and had my first hour on it today... not very confident yet; stalled a couple of times and not suer what gear I'm in half the time but it's fun. Hopefully I will get better. Thanks for making this video.... it helps :)
Thanks for watching. Just keep riding and it will all come together..
How did you find the Tyres in wet conditions?
I don't recall having issues but I'm a bit of a fairweather rider. I bought the bike second hand and I can remember when I got new tyres for it I could instantly feel the improvement.
Great review but you seem a little inexperienced or not familiar with how the bike works, maybe get a little more practice
I was at the time ;) this was over 5 years ago and it was my first time riding a geared bike on my own.
Practice is exactly what he's doing. I love that he's sharing it with everyone.
its coming to rome
I was thinking of buy one tomorrow, but with how slow that seem on this video as put me off 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good video,
What a load of shit
Throttle off, change gear.
from first to second you there is a small half click, you have to click up fully to engage 2nd gear
It seems funny to drive left.
Thanks for your observations, I am a similar size and weight as you, and tried the pcx and Forza 125 today, and founf the pcx too cramped, the forza is like riding a arm chair. The only thing putting me off at the moment is the substantial price of the Forza, but it does look cool ,
thats the first bike you ride?
I like your videos dude
My workmate has a PCX, I have an S wing. The S wing is bigger, posher and more powerful but not faster. 65mph both bikes. Its big plus is great pillion-carrying ability, which I regularly use. PCX too little. Otherwise I'd go for the PCX for the 115 mpg. As opposed to "only" 92mpg. (Actually it's Pantheon version that I have, essentially a pre-facelift S wing)
Guessing your being a little unfair as you are looking forward to and possibly justifying your new purchase. Love my little YBR, great little filter machine and yes I have bigger bikes but nothing that gives you as much confidence slipping through heavy congestion... No its not the fastest bike in the world but you have to agree its a pretty manageable bike for most people ?
I just recently bought YBR 125 and I'm watching how great it is, Nice road in the video where is it? Greetings!
I started at the Kawasaki dealer in Greenham near Newbury, England.
Scenery is nice. Cannot go wrong on a country road. More speed is not why one gets a scooter. Suspension can be a bit harsh on bumps also with more speed. You ride to enjoy, not for video or anything else. Other scooter riders will appreciate it for what it is. Good music choice too.
look like some nice roads :) hope you're enjoying the Z300 :)
Great vid :)
Nice vid, awesome scenery and a fantastic bike! :)
hi.what windscreen is it?thanx
MRA Racing windscreen from ebay. Hard to tell how much wind protection it actually gives though.
yay, springtime = sunny weather and biking adventures ahead :)
subbed sir :) I'm a fellow UK Z300 motovlogger :)
It's an ace little bike :)
Hope you have a lot of fun with it - love my z300 :)
I will bay tomorrow honda forza 125. I live in London. a won't to drive in adventure with someone.
you have holes to attach normal mirros on the handelbar .. often is somthing to cover the hols but look for them :) o seen normal mirros attached on same scooter
the little round things on the side of the breaks is for mirrors 😊 go to handler thay fix it
how far it goes on the tank is all about how hevy the driver is .....
Hi @kronos_rides_about_a_bit do you find there is a lot of wind noise over the windscreen? how do you combat it?
Yes i did. I did try clipping a screen extension to top of screen which did eradicate the noise but I felt that the screen couldn't really support the extra weight so I took it off again. Also I didn't like looking through it. Perhaps a smaller deflector might work.
see this video..th-cam.com/video/_eNJb6C__F0/w-d-xo.html
Well thats the screen I have seen on ebay, so at least I know it fits. Thanks
Do you find the standard screen a bit rattle-y? Use to really bug me on mine.
Cool vids mate. Got myself a YBR to practice on before doing a course and have been riding about a bit too. Was wondering if you had any tips as your gear changes seem fine. I really struggle sometimes going from 1st to 2nd sometimes and it jams in neutral (so bad when in traffic). All other gear changes up and down are fine. I've tried pushing harder on the selector lever but it seems to block occasionally until I play with the clutch a bit. Did you experience this?
My bike drops into neutral between first and second sometimes but I have never had it jam in neutral. I have developed muscle memory now so when it does go into neutral I automatically just click again on the gear lever. I have had problems finding neutral in which case I either throttle up a bit and very slightly engage the clutch then disengage again, then shift, or I roll the bike forward or backward a little. This turns the cogs somewhere and will then let me shift into neutral. Pushing harder doesn't sound like a good idea to me. If you are applying gentle pressure to selector before using clutch I would expect it to slip in easily when you clutch in (from 1st to 2nd).
Great review. I had a PCX but swapped to Forza a week ago and so happy i did. Like you said PCX are built for being nimble but the issue i had going down main roads was i was stuck behind lorries as it struggled to overtake. My Forza on otherhand can do up to 70mph which is more then enough to pass lorries and to get back into lane afterwards. So i would deffo reccomend a Forza now over a PCX
I also felt like I had more presence on the road on the Forza also. I didn't feel uncomfortable on dual carriageways which I did/do on the pcx and now the YBR.
I thought my bike was the only one yeah mine slips into sometimes if so u need to check your clutch cable and also hit it harder to
U take to long to change gear then throttle I have a ybrs custom 125
I have a honda forza, but i wanna mount my go pro to the scooter itself. I can't find a good place to mount it in front of the scooter, do you have a solution for this. I want my gopro behind my windshield.
hmm, the only thing I can think of is a suction mount on the windshield itself or something to attach to one of the brake fluid reservoirs maybe.
How did you mount your go pro to your helmet? With the original gopro curved adhesive mount?
I use a Drift HD Ghost and yes I used a curved adhesive mount on helmet
Thanks for this great comparison. I was thinking of switching from PCX. However it is missing few HP's thus I stick to my PCX that rules!
Great countryside you have there mate! I do enjoy exploring the smaller back roads myself! I always enjoy seeing the rides through small English villages as they are so different to what we see here in Australia. Was there a football game on or something? Those drunks were hilarious! What part of England are you in? I hope you got the bike sorted out OK. Thanks for joining us in Sync The Planet 2016 mate. It was great riding with you.
The town with the drunks was Lechlade, Wltshire. I live in Swindon which is about 30 miles east of Bristol
you rides the clutch to much but a good review
Beautiful country and drunks Britain at its best. :)
Thanks for riding for the event !!! Glad it was a nice day & good pothole knowledge going thru the shadows in the canopy of trees ;) Lots of people around @ 11min enjoying the day !!! Look fwd to riding with you again In 2017
Great ride man. Nice villages you went through and yeh you gotta love those empty lanes, potholes are s bugger though. Have you got plans to do your test? I passed my DAS last week, great when it's done, get on it fella. Coolio riding with you man. Tcrs ✊
I did a couple of days training earlier in the year but never went further with it as I didn't feel I was ready. Have been thinking about giving it another go recently.
+Kronos_rides_about_a_bit Go for it dude. From watching your video I reckon you'll be fine mate. Tcrs ✊
that performs really well,I was talking to an owner today he said he regularly gets over 100 mpg.what rpm at 70 mph
wind deflector?????? WTF, WHy???????????
How did you mount your GPS to the bike mate?
+Galin Todorov good old duck tape. You can see it at 8.06
BestGPS.mount:)
Hi Kronos, I have to agree with Boon Doggle, you need to ride in the centre of your lane. Other road users will keep on trying to get past you if you constantly hug the gutter. Besides all the detritus off the road surface tends to gather in the gutter and you have a greater risk of getting a puncture
hi tnx for the video . i am still not sure which one to buy forza or pcx my main concern is passing through traffic . i am using the bike for couriers .passing through stopped car in traffic is the forza easy like the pcx ? and the indicators are on the mirror if in case fall down to the ground while on side stand (is it expensive the original mirror with the indicator ?) tnx again
+Abdullah Espanol Its alot more stable at slower speeds than pcx. Probably not as nimble purely due to the extra weight. Mirror units are about £60.00 uk pounds each.
+Kronos_rides_about_a_bit tnx sir
No more Forza ????
+sgtgutvirt Its currently in the shop getting some repairs. I had a small accident a few weeks ago :(
Looking throughout the video, your positioning is wrong. center lane, or you will be treated as a cycle.
He overtook you there because you were in the gutter like a bicycle. own your lane.
