@@yuricorrea8779 I agree with the greater variety of builds but dark souls 1 had better combat imo. It was a lot smoother but you still make a great point. Dark Souls 2 combat was a type of combat which felt really clunky for like the first third of the game but got better as you played while Dark Souls 1 combat was a lot smoother at first. Despite the builds being lackluster and linear in ds1, I still feel like ds1 deserve the point for reasoning mentioned rising. I also give Antagonist to dark souls 2 because I always felt Nashandra was a more compelling villain in the lore. Her boss fight was awful but she still fulfilled her role as an antagonist. She was the reason for literally everything in the whole game becoming corrupted by the dark. Furthermore, I felt even Aldia could be considered another Antagonist despite him not being an actual villain. He is the most well written character in the souls trilogy imo. His desire to escape the curse and finding out the truth of this world. He helped us on our journey but still served as our final test to the throne to question what we want. I felt this set him as an Antagonist but not a Villain if you get what I am saying.

​@@AaBossW opinion Also bosses could go to DS2(This is a very hot take) DS1 is more consistent then DS2 in bosses but imo DS2 has more peak bosses than DS1 Velstadt, Sir Alone, Fume Knight, Ivory King(The Gigachad of Dark Souls), Sihn, Vendrick, Darklurker, Looking glass knight

Gwyns soul is extremely weak by the time ds3 comes out. He gave more then half of his power before fueling the flame for at least 1000 years before the chosen undead. Also don’t forget souls diminish in power when used to link the flame. Slave knight Gael takes this

@@Crisp.682 Gwyn's soul is back in dark souls 3 for the same identical reason Gwyn couldn't use his powers in dark souls 1, most people forget Soul of Cinder uses lightnings it seems, and no, the flame does not weaken the souls, nothing states it and nothing ever implied it with the lords of cinder in dark souls 3. The community in great part had a lore disconnection beetwen Gwyn linking the fire and Gwyn giving power to the flame, the flame did not weaken Gwyn in ds1 and surely didn't weaken him in ds3 since you know.. Gwyn can actually use his miracles. And i do not need to list why Slave knight Gael is totally in disadvantage and takes the sword down the throat when his opponent is a composite of all the other lords.

@@ThefrenziedMercury every one forgets about ds2. “This once-magnificent soul continues to exert influence over the land, even after the eons have reduced it to these remnants.” Ds2 tells us that souls do weaken when burned and weaken over time. Gwyn - in his prime > every lord soul - age of lords > dark soul - dark age (which is pretty much Gael) > SoC

@@Crisp.682 The description of that soul however doesn't directly imply that souls did weaken over time since what the King had was a part of Gwyn's soul, so the description can be interpreted as the weakening of the primordial soul of Gwyn throughout the lands with its division, not fire weakening (btw the Burnt King was not even burning in the fire of the first flame). And while i didn't ignore it you are doing something much worse, you are deliberately ignoring (like some do) the fact that Soul of Cinder can use the sunlight spear attacks of Gwyn in the boss fight alongside his moveset, something Dark souls 1 Gwyn couldn't do. So either way you are objectively disproven by the gameplay itself, souls do not weaken over time as their main sources of weakening are either absorption or division. Still kind of weird tho, how people like you who presumbaly read the lore, in the face of Soul of Cinder using a godly element which Gwyn lost in the past due to him dividing his essence and not being a God anymore, still argue that Gwyn is weaker and that SoC is too when the literal attack is being used on the player by the direction of Miyazaki. Also Gael is the dark age? Oh man.. please read better the lore.. Gael is exactly what Midra from Elden Ring is for the frenzied flame, an unchosen lord who was not supposed/couldn't possess the power and ended up getting killed by not evolving it to its fullest degree because of them being unworthy/not strong enough. Gael is hollow in the second phase, hollowing was a condition placed by the dark sign Gwyn created to prevent humand from attaining uncountable quantities of power from the abyss of the dark soul. Seems... Gael is actually more restricted than Soul of Cinder is to my eyes.

@@ThefrenziedMercury ok that would be the case if it wasn’t for every other lord soul saying the exact same thing. Souls weaken over time and weaken by getting burned since it’s used as fuel to keep the flame lit. The reason SoC can use lightning is because he has more power then burned Gwyn

Same goes for the real Gael we have fought is only the first phase which is pretty weak after that his body is taken over by all the dark souls which he has been collecting it's not that Gael is strong it's just that he has collected so many dark souls and they just go berserk in fight .

it doesn't matter if he has the souls of everyone that linked the flame because the first flame burned away those souls into a husk of what they once not saying that the soul of cinder isn't strong but it's no where near the most powerful in the series

@@roboquestyt ofc he was. Traveling out of the city to the farmhouse takes time so he was recovered and able to go to the funeral but when the turtles left right before shredder got out of the Garbage Truck, Slash was still knocked out on the rooftop.
