Natural nail care tips and nail designs. I have been a lifetime nail biter until several years ago. I had acrylic nails for a while, initially to stop the nail biting cycle, then I got hooked on having nice nails. Unfortunately I became allergic to acrylic and I had to remove them. I was devastated and although my natural nails were in a bad state because of the acrylics I set about finding as much information as I could on how to grow healthy natural nails. I've set up this channel to give back and hopefully by sharing what I've learned I can help others have beautiful natural nails too!

Orly 'Paradise Cove'
This is a very pretty raspberry pink jelly like polish. Applies easily with a silky consistency and builds up perfectly on the second coat. Looks fantastic with a glossy topcoat!
The colour is more of a bluey pink than in the video, for some reason the photo has picked out the colour more accurately - I would describe it as a raspberry pink.
I am happy to do requests (always looking for inspiration for my next manicure!) depending on whether or not I have the correct polish of course!

Would you consider doing a video on how you organise your nail swatch sticks? Ive recently gone through all my polishes, doing one of those swatch sticks for each, but im not sure how to group them. By brand? By colour? Season? Hope this makes sense 😊 Love your videos!

Hi Kate, once opened, how long does a nail polish generally last? I tend to buy OPI and keep them away from heat and light 🤔
They'll last for years! If they start to get sticky add several drops of nail polish thinners (the Orly one is good) and shake the bottle well and it will come back good as new! The only issue I find is when the polish is less than halfway in the bottle it's tricky to load up the brush.

Hi Kate, love your videos. I wonder if you could do a tutorial on how to paint just the tips, not necessarily a white french manicure, could be any color. Sometimes that's a fun look. Also who is the artist in the music with this video? Very nice
Thank you Kathy. I'm not really a fan of painting the tips - never seems to work for me (I'm not very adept at freehand!) Some people use a silicone stamper for this...I tried once but it didn't go very well! 😂😂 there are tutorials out there on this method if you want to give it a go. Not sure about the music (I use TH-cam's selection of tracks that I am able to use copyright free)

Not all colours! I tend to choose colours that suit mostly (and colours I like) but sometimes it doesn't work!

That's great! Sheer polishes can be difficult to apply. Apply the first coat thinly and then the second coat a little thicker. I've picked them up gradually over the years...and guess what I get for my birthday/Christmas gifts?? I get allocated a budget and then buy what I want! A lot have been picked up as bundles on Ebay, or special offers too! Sometimes TK Maxx have OPI'S/Essie's at a good price also. It is easier to get these deals in the UK, but here in France where we live now Amazon is the only place I've found and they tend to be expensive (so when I go back to the UK for a visit.....😂😂🎉🎉💅💅) Yes I do have my go to colours....pinks and purples usually, although I'm starting to like orange in the summer. Selecting a colour can be a challenge! I tend to go with how I 'feel' - whatever seems to pop out at me at the time and also depending on what I'm wearing! I'm not particularly imaginative so always looking for inspiration!
