Rogers Holiday snare drum makeover.

A slideshow of of my refurbishment (not a restoration) of a 60's era Rogers Holiday snare drum. I wrapped it and installed a new throw off. The music is from P-50, a band I was in many moons ago.
Drum Riser
มุมมอง 69K11 ปีที่แล้ว
Here's a video of me setting up my homemade drum riser. It consists of a plywood top surface that is supported by five-gallon plastic buckets that I bought at the home improvement store. It takes about five minutes to set up and strike.

Drum cover of a great Bad Company song. Sorry for the poor sound quality. I'm just using the camera's built in microphone.

What's the total size of your riser? What thickness of wood did you use?

I like it better than any I have seen because it breaks down into transportable pieces.

If you're on level surface, this riser is brilliant... and being more portable is much better than just the standard heavy bi-fold or two piece monstrosity. Well done, Jim!

Any rattle is drowned out by the drums, cymbals, and the rest of the band. We're not a jazz band. I wouldn't use this in a studio

Exellent! This is what I am talkin about! You made this stage very mobile and light. Also takes only small space. Exellent I must say again.. you are smart. I like how elements folds and also connects to each others. Again simple but firm. 👍🏼

This is way more enjoyable and easier to watch with the camera stationary...rather than using a helmet cam with the POV so up close that you can't get the perspective to what is going on...thanks so much.

Ah!! The much-sought-after floating drum platform. Great for those harbor concerts......We tap the front two and fill them with beer providing the band with refreshment during the show. No more groupie waitresses to deal with. These were invented by Jim Morrison...

Sweet riser! The idea of me and my drums being on plastic buckets is enough to unsettle me and prevent me from building this though. Sweet for unheavy people though!
