Great video , I have 4 or 5 regular family’s of swifts that visit my listed cottage’s eves, every year , great to see as many old buildings have been refurbished & unfortunately all these holes are blocked up , leading to the decline that we have today 😢

This has just solved a twelve year old mystery for me!! I found one of these, also at Dungeness, on the beach there when my eldest was just a baby. I felt a weird texture under my fingertips as I put my hand on the stones next to me, and when I looked it was the underside of a strange sea creature. Unfortunately the one I found was dead, but I never knew what it was until now! Thank you so much for solving the puzzle! Also saw dolphins down there on the same day.

Isn’t it now docked at Great Yarmouth? Either way, it needs to be offloaded far away from any land. Can’t remember where it was headed for. All very suspicious, along with the fire at Barrow-in-Furness nuclear submarine shipyard.

The spikes are a money making scheme

Works for my house and I’ve not got seagulls nesting anymore either.. my spikes are a lot bigger though no way they can land to even start building. Those spikes in the video look small. And that’s the issue in reality

Don’t buy spikes, install a peregrine falcon nest box. If you can’t install bird spikes correctly there’s no way you’ll know anything about installing a falcon nest box correctly on the side of your 2 storey house. Such poor advice from people here. One guy even tried an analogy to trespassing signs. Bet they’ve never installed bird spikes and certainly never a no trespassing sign as I guarantee they don’t own land.

the spikes work in the right place, also catapults and air rifles work even better plus it teaches you a skill!

Or just leave them be not doing any harm are they I mean easy thing to do would be to clean it up before the nest starts 🎉

its like the people who make "tresspassers" signs, useless but mugs keep buying them, ill explain why because trespassing isnt a crime under uk law but aggrivated tresspass is so up until the point you refuse to leave private land you committed no offence and bare in mind also the only way to legally keep you of any persons said land is with a high court injunction (for the bell end who thought he was smart a few comments below)

They sure as hell do work I installed these spikes on a building in Canada on all the window sills for a customer that had a very bad pigeon problem. After the install no more pigeons.

Pigeons have more brain cells than you! Sorry! Just leave them alone
