Caldicot Male Voice Choir and its associated cycle club were broadcast on ITV Wales Coast and Country programme on 29th and 30th July 2022 Hosted by Sean Fletcher, produced by Kelsey Radmore and filmed by James Harries, the broadcast features the choir, the cycle club and the choir hall. With interviews givenby Tony Griffiths, Alyn Dawe, Lyn Gauntlett and Musical director Sian Hatton.
Paul Carlson's Poem. What it means to be a chorister in Caldicot Male Voice Choir

During the pandemic the Caldicot Male Voice Choir, like all others in the UK has been unable to meet, practice or perform. Paul Carlson, a chorister in the choir wrote a poem describing what it's like to be part of the choir, so I recorded it and set it to a slide show of photographs. The music in the background is Tydi y Roddaist recorded on the Choir's One Moment in Time album

Caldicot Male Voice Choir are the only choir to have recorded it and the first to perform it. Special permission from the writers Dan and Laura Curtis. Sung regularly at our concerts.
Absolutely beautiful
My dad was a miner as a young married man in Alberta and my Grandfather was a miner in Scotland and then later imigrated to Alberta were he continued to work the mines. My Dad quite at age 27 and moved to BC. He still had nightmares of those days into his late 80’s. Miners are such brave men. A very difficult job emotionally and definitely physically. This song brought me to tears. Thank you for such a beautiful presentation.
This is the most watched piece of the choir on TH-cam. My father was a South Wales miner from the age of 14 to 30. Dangerous and hard work.
