Not sure what the front 4 cars were, but the rear 4 cars were T49.

This was filmed on new years eve, trains were skipping Circular Quay on this day presumably because of crowds. Hope that explained it :)

They may do that, but hopefully they would keep them running on sector 2. Otherwise, it might mean K sets would run all day, which would be good.

No, unfortunately as it was off peak and I think no trains exit Waverton neck during off peak. Anyway glad you enjoyed :)

Oh and apologies for the late reply but from what I’m aware of the far platform is heritage listed and does not see any use.

I think that may have even been the situation when I was living up in Sydney. I remember seeing that old platform often, but never in use for trains.

I’m assuming that K82 was running an empty service or a test run for drivers. The K sets are being retired soon so I’m not sure if it was an overhaul…

@@sydneytrainsmania interesting. seems that the front was repainted, and has a black stripe at the bottom of the yellow area which other k sets do not seem to have.
