Hope you can re-post these old post cards in HD some time in the future. In the mean time thanks for the memories, lived in Warren from 1960 to 1969 and enjoyed it a lot (except in the winter time).
wow thats interesting didnt even know that was at kinzua dam was it like a native hang out ritual place where they did there elections and hunting?slaying? least the darn state of ny didnt destroy that while building that stupid dam like they destroyed all there graves and homes and everything that they owned
I love the country on the Western NY state/Pennsylvania border. We used to boat on Kinzua, camp on the islands... water ski to the dam.. Life was good. Now, I'm in my 70's, these videos make me realize how lucky we all were to grow up, or live, in this unspoiled corner of America! My Grandfather was an engineer who worked on the bridge in the early 1900's
I was born in Warren. Lived there first fifteen years of my life. Family moved to southern California years ago. I love going back to visit. Many fond memories.
Grasshopper Do you have any movies of Kinzua dam and the (Basin) the Seneca Pumped Storage Generating Station above kinzua Dam. It would be nice seeing old pictures or movies of both. I remember going there when I was little and It would be nice seeing old pictures or movies of both.
I. too am a descendant of the first settlers of Kinzua, and I remember my childhood reflections of the dam. The government took away our land and you're worried about tourism and the Indians???!!! Give me a break!
Good Video- Thanks for sharing- Please tell us more about the history of that area. We frequent a camp in the area- And have watched the destruction of the ANF due to the gas/oil company. It is all very sad- I truly hope that Rim Rock & more areas are spared.
My parents were from Warren. Thanks for idea.
a shame they didn't go into the cave with this..they were at the entrance...my fav geocache.. amazing place.
