It is bizarre! Thx for sharing that info!
That tub and facet is beautiful!
Awesome video, thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge!
Can you elaborate more or make another video of ADUs in Connecticut please?
And anyone can also open it up with one screwdriver. They just have to pry out the bottom because its installed inside out.
If you sand deep enough, the bevel could be gone.
Spoken like a true salesman.
Dry ice blasting!!! Idiot.
That yellow wire is called the home run, it’s the line power from the panel
The color simply tells us the rating of the wires: White=14-gauge, 15A Yellow=12-gauge 20A Orange=10-guage 30A If the yellow 20A circuit may be split into multiple 15A loads, that could be a problem. I don't think the code allows 14-gauge wires with a 20A circuit breaker.
Good info! Thanks for sharing this, you clearly know your stuff!
The amazing thing about it for me is that people are still investing more money into the material slabs like this company. And investing a fraction of the money into the machinery that makes the money. These type companies should stop fabricating and just sell slabs. Its basically an identity crisis. what type of business are they? Fabricator or slab sales? oldest slowest saw in the industry when automatic cnc saws are readily available for cheap. Scared to go digital?
Very informative! Those slabs are beautiful!
Great tour that was informative! I learned a lot and I have been in the business for a long time
I was enjoying this video so much and I genuinely thought it had hundreds of thousands of views. You made a great video and should be proud. I think you'll do amazing here on TH-cam
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the feedback! It means a lot!
From an European point of view: a stick house? A garden shed with paint? "Vinyl side" sends shivers down my spine..
Thanks for responding! Definitely very different building styles between the US and Europe, even in places with similar climates! (We will admit European windows are definitely leagues ahead!)
So egress mean a person can go through the window. I have 2 family house with a finish attic. I am trying to find out if it is legal and code for NJ
Egress generally just means that it can be used as an entrance or exit! There's a lot of variation in the codes between states, so be sure to check for NJ specifically. We've found a lot of states make the regulations more about a firefighter being able to enter the home, than a resident being able to leave, so you might be surprised how large of an opening is required!
hay i am 24 yers men 😊 i look a job i live in moroco
Who would want to live in the house while remodeling? Even if it's a minor remodel I can't imagine all the dust and debris being easy to contain.
Yes you do. Theyre always snobs
🤣
Lots of golden nuggets in this one 🔥
Love this!
Hubspot took something so simple and made it more-or-less impossible. wow.
I agree. One thing i always recommend when a wondow is present, and ypu have a crown or cabinets to the ceiling is to go up and around the window. It really makes the backsplash pop.
So True! Especially with picture windows over the sink, it's such a huge centerpiece for the kitchen and framing it correctly has a huge impact on the room's overall aesthetic.
I became disabled age 7, I know people who were 10, 15, 30, 45, ect. My own mum after being my caregiver for years became disabled herself age 40. You can become disabled at any point or time in your life and need help, hope for the best but plan for the worst. If you are in a position to buy or build your own home, lucky you lol, but also keep that in mind while you're looking and just remember to think to yourself how would a wheelchair fit in here? Could I add extra railing if needed? Able bodied people seem to think they're invincible when they're young but even outside of freak accidents and unfortunate illnesses unless something bad happens you will get old and the vast majority of the time you will need help as you age, even if it's just the help of a slightly easier to navigate house.
Yes great points
This is not an instructional video, nothing but advertising waste of time
Thanks for the feedback!
Keep up the good work
Thank you!

I’m going to assume this guy is a “larger” home improvement contractor and trying to justify his “larger” price! Lol
Hi David, thanks for the response! We are a team of less than fifteen people, only serve the local market, and while our price does tend to be higher than the lowest bidder, you definitely get what you pay for. Appreciate the feedback!
This guy is just blowing smoke! He has no idea or evidence to what he’s saying! Every contractor/ handyman has their own ethics. Saying someone is more trustworthy just because they’re a large company shows his ignorance!
I own my home
No you pay property tax. Anything you do to your house has to be permitted. Depending on where you're at God forbid you have chickens or a garden. Even if you do everything right the government can come up to you and claim imminent domain and forcibly take "your" property. It's not yours
yes and yes
Great info, didnt know there was so much to dumpsters! 😮
Love it!
Great info to think about!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the comment!
I hate it when i think im gonna fart but i poop like not even squishy hard poo it's like watery poo with like a bunch of bits of poo in it
😕
And if it is because of road rage don’t get out of your car or open the door.
Great point!
I didn't know you breathe mold everyday. Thats new to me
Depending on the age of your home and how humid it is, the amount mold can vary heavily, but almost all of us are exposed to at least a small amount on a daily basis. Definitely doesn't mean heavy exposure can't cause issues, though!
@@FineHomeContracting that makes a lot more sense. I'm going to assume the same thing can happen to campers then
Any closed space with a humidity issue can develop mold. Campers, especially older ones, can be very tricky to manage moisture in, so mold is very common. @@gearskingz1398
@@FineHomeContracting i understand, I appreciate the information. You've got my sub
Beardo
Been called worse
Put it underground all of it.
Even the house?
@@FineHomeContracting especially the house. If it's all underground the temperature is pretty stable.
good point about putting new solar on old roofs, seems like setting people up for failure
thanks yes we agree big cost in the solar installation to then have to take it off when the roof is failing
We used to take 15 20 minutes a day to tidy up job site framing house
I love it! Always makes a good start the next day too
@@FineHomeContracting yup keep from tripping over stuff too
Without MASSIVE “green” subsidies, the renewable energy industry would wither and die. Likewise electric vehicles. Anthropogenic Global Warming is a SCAM.
Hmmm -- I tend to agree with some of this
When the demands go up, so will the Investment Into the grid. That's how capitalism works. Using Fossil fuels to create electricity 68% More efficient Then using it directly it in modern combustion engines.
Yes and yes
Parasite.
That is not nice
Lol that's a great point. I'm two years into the consideration stage. My upstairs is just a waste of space and was butchered by the contractor when finishing it.
Finishing an attic is a great, cheaper way to add on more square footage and usable space, but they're tricky projects! Completely understandable if it takes a few years to plan on your own!
We love an attic or a basement -- best bang for your buck!
Luxury vinyl, “QuickTip “ don’t use wax /cleaner
oh yes - that is a good one !
Mr. clean sponges, takeoff the first coat of the sheen of Paint another “quickTip” not to use
good to know!
There is no privacy with sound if you leave it exposed. This is not a good idea.
Thankfully the room above is part of the same small apartment unit, so sound is not too much of an issue. We did have to add additional insulation between the units to solve sound issues there, though!
Aren’t you going to insulate to deaden the transition of sound and then drywall between the floor joists? Then you can run low profile LED can lights whereever you need also you can put up wall sconces which adds to your design rustic cabin traditional you seem to want to lean into.
Good points! Wall sconces and additional lighting are definitely in the works!
Does this guy know how to speak in complete sentences? 🤷🏻♂️
🤣
Over time it gets dirty / dusty..
So does life give it a wash
